AUDIOVISUAL WORKS COMPETITION
CATEGORIES:
* DOCUMENTARIES, over 15 minutes long. Recommended maximum: 40 min.
* SHORT FILMS, up to 15 minutes long.
· Videos with voice-over
· Music videos (without voice-over)
WHAT IS VALUED:
· The script: Originality, theme, argument, narrative, plot, message, etc.... The judges will especially value the adaptation of the script to show the underwater wealth or denounce the delicate situation of our oceans.
· Fauna and flora: The quantity and variety of species that appear in the work, both fauna, flora and ecosystem of the area. Also the way in which they are integrated in the script and in the work.
· Technique: The editing and post-production, image quality, lighting and resources used. Variety of shots, integration in the script, cadence, rhythm and integration of music, voice-over or effects.
· Overall impression and artistic value: Effect on the viewer. The impact produced by the work will be valued.
· Awareness-raising: The work must show ecologically denouncing content, showing the difficult situation of our oceans and their inhabitants. If possible with a positive message showing solutions to this problem.
REQUIREMENTS:
· The work should have a significant amount of underwater images or prominence of the sea.
· Only MP4 or MOV files with a maximum size of 15 Gb and a minimum resolution of 1920x1080 (FullHD) and a frame rate of 25 fps are supported.
· Each contestant may submit as many works as deemed appropriate. It shall be an essential requirement to complete and submit a separate participation form for each work entered. The works must include different images; therefore, any submission containing total or partial repetitions of images used in other works by the same author will not be accepted.
· A synopsis must accompany the work in order to be able to add the text in the programme and in the publications on our website and social networks.
· All works that are not voiced in Spanish must be accompanied by the script with the time code, for translation and subtitling. SRT format recommended.
· he works must be original works by the author or the production company.
· Works less than 2 years old are recommended. They will be better valued.
· Scenes that are suspected of mistreatment or manipulation of the species will not be allowed.
RULES OF PROCEDURE
Entry to the competition will be final after receipt of the entry form from the cimasub.com entry form, the FilmFreeway platform or the Festhome platform.
The jury is sovereign in the awarding of prizes. The prizes may be modified according to the news provided by the sponsors of the event.
Entries considered by the jury to be advertising or of insufficient quality will not be accepted. If there are no entries of sufficient quality in any of the categories, these may be declared void and the corresponding prize will not be awarded. If several entries are submitted in the same category, as a general rule, the prize will be awarded to the best-placed entry. Those works with images already submitted in previous editions may subtract points from the final evaluation. If necessary, the winning authors will have to prove the authorship of their works at the request of the jury.
The jury reserves the right, but not the obligation, to award further prizes on the grounds of the quality or interest of the works submitted. These prizes will consist of a white handrail + the possibility, depending on the level provided, of a prize of up to €200. Special prizes are not compulsory, the jury reserves the right not to award them if it sees no reason to award them or if the works to be awarded one of the special prizes have already been awarded a higher prize.
For organisational reasons and with the aim of improving communication between the organisation and the participants, the latter will be automatically subscribed to the blog of our website www.cimasub.com when they fill in the participation form, both on our website and on the Filmfreeway or Festhome platforms. In this way, they will receive all the latest news and updates of this edition of CIMASUB in the email address they have used to participate in the competition.
The organisers, in accordance with the rules established by copyright law, consider that the works presented at CIMASUB - Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia - San Sebastián are free of any artistic property rights or any other rights that a third party may have. By virtue of their participation in CIMASUB, the authors undertake to guarantee to the organisers that the works presented are free of copyright. The responsibility for any claim that may be brought against the works submitted is solely and exclusively that of the authors. The organisers of CIMASUB can in no way be held responsible in case of dispute or litigation.
Participants authorise the duplication of their works in the CIMASUB archives and their use during the competition in Donostia-San Sebastián and to use them totally or partially in the different towns where our competition is held throughout the year, as well as to use them to promote CIMASUB and/or the underwater, social and/or educational activities related to CIMASUB. Always citing the name of the author, but without giving rise to payment of royalties or compensation of any kind.
The jury's decisions are final. Participation in the CIMASUB - Donostia - San Sebastian International Underwater Film Festival implies acceptance of all the conditions set out in these Regulations.
The trophies and txapelas will be awarded to the winners attending the event on the last day at the closing gala. In the event of not attending the event, the trophy will be sent by post. The winners who visit us are invited to the two dinners that we will hold, if the situation allows it, during the event (invitation for two persons):
· Friday, intimate cocktail dinner for award winners and sponsors.
· Saturday, closing dinner/party for organisers, award winners, guests, sponsors and institutions.
The prizes in products or services offered by the sponsors cannot be exchanged for their economic value.
In the event of cancellation of the event for reasons beyond the responsibility of the organisers and/or force majeure, or if any of the sponsors do not comply with the agreement established with the Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino, the prizes may be suspended. In the event of such a possibility, they may be postponed or replaced by others.

In compliance with the provisions of Organic Law 15/1999, of 13 December, on the Protection of Personal Data, CIMASUB - International Underwater Film Series of Donostia - San Sebastian guarantees the security and confidentiality of the data provided herein.
In this way, it undertakes to comply with its obligation to maintain the secrecy of personal data and its duty to protect them and to adopt all necessary measures to prevent their alteration, loss, processing or unauthorised use. Therefore, this information will not be passed on to third parties.

CONCURSO DE TRABAJOS AUDIOVISUALES
CATEGORÍAS:
* DOCUMENTALES, más de 15 minutos de duración.
Máximo recomendado: 45 min.
* CORTOMETRAJES, hasta 15 minutos de duración.
· Vídeos musicales (Sin locución)
· Vídeos con locución
QUÉ SE VALORA:
· El guión. Originalidad, temática, argumento, narrativa, trama, mensaje, etc... Los jueces valorarán especialmente la adaptación del guion a mostrar la riqueza submarina o denunciar la delicada situación de nuestro océanos.
· Fauna y flora. La cantidad y variedad de especies que aparecen en la obra, tanto fauna, flora y ecosistema de la zona. También la manera en la que están integradas en el guion y en la obra.
· Técnica. La edición y postproducción, calidad de imagen, iluminación y recursos utilizados. Variedad de planos, integración en el guion, cadencia, ritmo e integración de la música, la voz en off o efectos.
· Impresión general y valor artístico. Efecto causado en el espectador. Se valorará el impacto producido por la obra.
· Concienciación. Que la obra muestre contenidos con denuncia ecológica, enseñando la difícil situación de nuestros océanos y sus habitantes. A poder ser con un mensaje positivo mostrando las soluciones a este problema.
REQUISITOS:
· El trabajo debe tener una cantidad destacable de imágenes subacuáticas o protagonismo del mar.
· Únicamente se admiten archivos en formato MP4 o MOV con un tamaño máximo de 15 Gb y como mínimo una resolución de 1920x1080 (FullHD) y una velocidad de fotogramas de 25 fps.
· Cada concursante podrá presentar tantas obras como considere oportuno. Será requisito indispensable cumplimentar y remitir un formulario de participación independiente por cada obra presentada. Las obras deberán incorporar imágenes distintas entre sí; en consecuencia, no se admitirán aquellas que repitan total o parcialmente imágenes utilizadas en otros trabajos del mismo autor.
· Una sinopsis debe acompañar a la obra para poder añadir dicho texto en el programa y en las publicaciones que realicemos en nuestra web y redes sociales.
· Todas las obras que no estén locutadas en español deberán ir acompañadas del guion con el código de tiempo, para su traducción y subtitulado. Recomendado formato SRT.
· Las obras deben ser originales del autor o la productora.
· Se recomiendan obras con una antigüedad inferior a 2 años. Serán mejor valoradas.
· No se permitirán escenas que sean sospechas de maltrato o manipulación de las especies.
REGLAMENTO
La inscripción en el concurso será definitiva después de la recepción de la ficha de participación desde el formulario de inscripción de cimasub.com, la plataforma FilmFreeway o la plataforma Festhome.
El jurado es soberano en cuanto a la entrega de premios. Estos podrían ser modificados en base a las noticias que nos aporten los patrocinadores del evento.
Los trabajos considerados por el jurado como publicitarios o de calidad insuficiente no serán admitidos. En caso de no existir trabajos de suficiente calidad en cualquiera de las categorías, éstas podrán quedar desiertas y no se hará entrega del premio correspondiente. Si se presentan varios trabajos en la misma categoría, como norma general, se premiará el que resulte mejor posicionado. Aquellos trabajos que tengan imágenes ya presentadas en ediciones anteriores, podrán restar puntos a la valoración final. En caso necesario, los autores premiados deberán acreditar la autoría de sus trabajos a requerimiento del jurado.
El jurado se reserva el derecho, pero no la obligación, de otorgar más premios debido a cualquier causa de calidad o interés de los trabajos presentados. Dichos premios constarán de barandilla blanca + la posibilidad, según el nivel aportado, de premio de hasta 200€. Los premios especiales no son obligatorios, el jurado se reserva el derecho de no otorgarlos si no ve motivo de premio o si los trabajos que deban recibir alguno de los premios especiales ya han sido premiados con otro galardón superior.
Por motivos de organización y con el objetivo de mejorar la comunicación entre la organización y los participantes, estos últimos serán suscritos automáticamente al blog de nuestra web www.cimasub.com en el momento que rellenen el formulario de participación, tanto en nuestra web como en las plataformas Filmfreeway o Festhome. De esta forma recibirán todas las novedades y las últimas noticias de esta edición del CIMASUB en el email que hayan utilizado para participar en el concurso.
Los organizadores, de conformidad con las normas establecidas por derecho de autor, consideran que los trabajos presentados en el CIMASUB · Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia - San Sebastián están libres de todo derecho de propiedad artística o de otros que podría tener una tercera entidad. En virtud de su participación en el CIMASUB los autores se comprometen a garantizar a los organizadores que las obras presentadas están libres de derechos de autor. La responsabilidad ante cualquier demanda que se pueda interponer contra las obras presentadas es única y exclusivamente de los autores. Los organizadores del CIMASUB no pueden de ninguna manera ser considerados responsables en caso de disputa o litigio.
Los participantes autorizan la duplicación de sus obras a los archivos del CIMASUB y la utilización de estas durante el certamen en Donostia - San Sebastián y utilizarlos total o parcialmente en las diferentes poblaciones donde se celebra nuestro certamen a lo largo del año, además de poder utilizarlos para promocionar el CIMASUB y/o las actividades subacuáticas, sociales y/o didácticas relacionadas con el CIMASUB. Siempre citando el nombre del autor, pero sin dar lugar a un pago de derecho de autor o compensación de ningún tipo.
Las decisiones del jurado son definitivas. La participación en el CIMASUB · Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia - San Sebastián implica la aceptación de todas las condiciones establecidas en el presente Reglamento.
Los trofeos y txapelas serán entregados a los galardonados asistentes al evento el último día en la gala de clausura. En caso de no asistir al evento, se enviará el trofeo por correo. Los galardonados que nos visiten están invitados a las dos cenas que celebraremos, siempre que la situación lo permita, durante el certamen (invitación para dos personas):
· Viernes, cena, tipo cocktail, intima para galardonados y patrocinadores.
· Sábado, cena/fiesta de clausura para organizadores, galardonados, invitados, patrocinadores e instituciones.
Los premios en productos o servicios ofrecidos por los patrocinadores no podrán ser cambiados por su valor económico.
En caso de cancelación del evento por motivos que escapen a la responsabilidad de la organización y/o fuerza mayor, o que alguno de los patrocinadores no cumpla el acuerdo establecido con el Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino, los premios podrán ser suspendidos. En caso de existir la posibilidad podrán ser aplazados o sustituidos por otros.
POLÍTICA DE PROTECCIÓN DE DATOS
En cumplimiento de lo establecido en la Ley Orgánica 15/1999, de 13 de diciembre, de Protección de Datos de Carácter Personal, CIMASUB - Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia – San Sebastián garantiza la seguridad y confidencialidad de los datos aquí facilitados.
De este modo, se compromete al cumplimiento de su obligación de secreto de los datos de carácter personal y de su deber de guardarlos y adoptar todas las medidas necesarias para evitar su alteración, pérdida, tratamiento o uso no autorizado. Por lo tanto, dicha información no será cedida a terceros.
Usted tiene el derecho de acceso, rectificación, cancelación y oposición al tratamiento de sus datos, que puede ejercitar enviándonos una solicitud a CIMASUB - Ciclo Internacional de Cine Submarino de Donostia – San Sebastián indicando la referencia "protección de datos".
