Welcome to the Chicago Visions Film Festival where we showcase the emerging talent of the next generation of filmmakers. Our goal is to create a destination that showcases the very best of the best films that would otherwise fly under the radar because of a lack of star power, big budget, or industry-filmmaker connections.

Each film submitted to CHIVFF is screened by our staff and watched all the way through. We love film and we know how hard it is to get your film from page to screen. Entries must be in English or – Subtitled, dubbed in English.

Rules & Terms

Only professional quality work accepted.
Entries must be in English or – Subtitled, dubbed in English.
Submission fee is nonrefundable.
All genres accepted.
Multiple entries are allowed for each filmmaker and each entry may be entered in multiple categories.
Work must have been produced within the past five years.
All entries should be sent as ONLINE SCREENERS. Please don’t send discs (CDs, DVDs, BluRays) or any downloadable files to us directly, such as high resolution posters or other digital media.
Works in progress are accepted. Fully completed films must be sent to us three weeks before the film festival. We will not showcase uncompleted films. You will be taken out of the schedule.

    So the event is apparently today, yet still no confirmation of what films have been selected. This may be free, but I have to wonder if they even do an event at all.

    This is indeed a great film festival. Not only is the organization perfect, but the service is wonderful as well. We enjoyed being part of it.

    No communication at all from festival aside from selection email via FFL. Emailed through a higher res version for public screening but not sure if this was used. No photos of the festival online (no social media pages from what I can see) so unsure if the event even took place. Great to have a film screen in the US but unsure if it even happened!
