Rules & Terms


To become a part of this cinematic adventure, please submit your films via FilmFreeway, ensuring that a digital copy, along with trailers and posters, accompanies your entry.

We gladly welcome films produced after May 2021, and to maintain fairness, we do not offer free submission waivers. Please ensure that the version you submit for judging is the final one, as alternate versions will require separate entrance fees.

By submitting to the Chicago AI Film Festival, you grant us permission to utilize excerpts and images for promotional purposes, while also agreeing to indemnify us against any potential claims.

Premieres will receive special consideration during our final programming decisions, and it's essential for non-English films to include English subtitles for full consideration.

While films may be eligible for multiple awards, we reserve the right to eliminate categories with insufficient nominations. Furthermore, disqualification without refund may occur for films affiliated with major motion picture studios or production companies at the time of screening, unless proper permissions have been obtained.

Your submission confirms your acceptance of all festival rules, including granting us the right to screen your film during the event and utilize excerpts for promotional purposes.

Rest assured, safeguarding your creative rights and interests is our priority, and we trust you to hold us harmless from any claims regarding copyright, trademark, publicity, and more.

    This festival is NOT fake.

    Communication hasn't been great and there is room for improvement, but felt obliged to upvote since a fellow reviewer has published a scathing review that is basically untrue.

    Habiendo sido seleccionado con dos trabajos, NO tengo (ni encuentro) ninguna constancia de que este Festival se haya celebrado. Por lo tanto, lo considero una estafa.
    Having been selected with two works, I do NOT have (nor can I find) any record of this Festival having been held. Therefore, I consider it a scam.
