The seventh season of the Chatham-Kent International Film Festival was our best yet. We had so many people from around the globe send in their projects, it hurts only being able to pick a select few. This year there was also a lot of local talent as well. This year's Most Promising Individual was from right here in Chatham. And the people that attended could not talk enough about the calibre of film they were seeing. And our local idea that became international, The Chatham-Kent Youth Film Awards, blew us away. The youth are the future and they were showing us this year that they are ready to take over.

This leads us to our eighth season. We are excited to start our eighth year and cannot wait to see what the future holds. Each year the judging becomes more difficult but that is a challenge we are happy to accept.

Whether yours is animated for kids, a heartwarming drama or a terrifying thriller, the Chatham-Kent International Film Festival welcomes you!
