As a director, I create new performance-based work, nurture on-going, diverse collaborations, and explore the potential for that work to engage across borders—between people and cultures, between methods and disciplines. I work as Producing Artistic Director at Square Top Theatre and Professor of Theatre & Dance at Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA. My work has been supported through grants from the U.S. Embassy-Oslo, New York Council for the Humanities, the Network of Ensemble Theatres, and others. Most recently, I directed Square Top Theatre’s feature length documentary "Without Them I Am Lost", short-docs "Climbing Eros" and "Koppmoll", experimental film and multi-channel installation piece "Laura, or Scenes from a Common World", and premiere stage productions of Damon Falke's Memory Cycle plays "The Scent of a Thousand Rains", "Now at the Uncertain Hour", and "The Sun is in the West".
