Cecilia Rizzuto was born in Milan in 1998. She studied Art History in Milan and since 2019 has been working as a freelance light and set designer for live events, advertising and films. In May 2023 she directed her first short film Titus, the first of a trilogy (Titovsky, Titus Apocalypse). She made a documentary together with his colleague Marco Vinz Pinnavaia, about Saint Sara, protector of the Roma people in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, in the Camargue region, which won Best Film at the RROMA Film Festival. She participated in the 48h competition with his second short film Primo, genre doppelganger. In September 2024, she participated in the CinemAbruzzo residency with the production The Factory, creating an introspective documentary on the sense of the sublime entitled Davide, where are you? She is in production with his debut short film Amanti a Mano Armato, a noir fiction in an old-fashioned Milan.
In the meantime, she is involved in the activities of the Chuormo Association and Collective, which has been based in Testaccio, Rome since May 2024.
