THE CARRARA FILM FESTIVAL 2025 IN SINDELFINGEN
A WEEKEND FILLED WITH CINEMA, CREATIVITY, AND INSPIRATION FROM JULY 18 TO 20, 2025.

Experience exciting films at our short film festival – with popcorn and lemonade at the SÜD in Sindelfingen.

In two categories, the best films will be awarded the Carrara Film Prize and prizes of up to €1,000.

All short films are welcome in the main competition.
In the student competition, pupils from Sindelfingen and the surrounding area can showcase their talent as emerging filmmakers.

The Carrara Film Festival also offers a variety of workshops and talks with industry experts – a perfect opportunity to gain exclusive insights into the world of film production.

The main competition is open to filmmakers of all ages. Whether your film was made as part of your studies, training, profession, or in your free time. We look forward to your exciting short fiction film, documentary, or animation.

Prizes: up to €1,000

General Information
The Carrara Film Festival is divided into two competitions:

A student competition for participants from Sindelfingen and the surrounding area in grades 5 to 13.
A main competition open to all filmmakers.
The organizers are Sim TV – Kinderfilmakademie e.V. and the Jugendhaus Süd of Stadtjugendring Sindelfingen e.V. as part of the Sindelfingen Biennale.

Participation in the competition is free of charge.
A selection committee will decide on the acceptance of films into the competition.
The selection committee reserves the right to move a film submitted for the student competition to the main competition if deemed appropriate.
Participants will be informed about this prior to the film festival.

The competition films will be publicly discussed and evaluated by a professional jury during the festival.
The decisions of the selection committee and the jury are final and cannot be appealed.
Legal recourse is excluded.

Copyright and Performance Rights
Each film submission must include information about the filmmakers (all involved creators).
The use of external contributions (ideas, images, sound) must be properly credited.
No rights of third parties may be violated.
All rights to the film remain with the filmmakers.
By submitting the film, the submitter grants permission to screen it during the film festival.
The submitter assures that they hold all necessary rights for this purpose.

By accepting the terms and conditions, the filmmakers agree that clips of their films (up to 30 seconds) may be used for the public relations of the film festival.
