Cape Town Squad International Film Festival

This festival is officially closed.

The Cape Town Squad International Film Festival was co-founded by Jacques Adriaanse and Natasha Mayet and ran from 2022 to 2024. After three vibrant years, the festival has officially concluded and is no longer accepting submissions.

Films with a strong narrative element will be considered.

Open to all filmmakers from around the world and other planets.

The festival focuses on short films under 15 minutes only. Films exceeding this time limit will be rejected.

Please note that our festival does not waive any entry fees for 2024.

Thank you very much to Cape Town squad international Film festival! I am honored that my animation "The Skytrain" was selected and nominated for the best animated short film. It is a pity that I did not participate in the activities of the film festival in person due to my personal reasons. I hope to have the opportunity to participate again! I was unable to attend in person to screen my short animated film Darwin the Dreamer, but the communication was very strong and I always felt like I knew what was going on! It looked like a great time and you can tell this festival loves film!
