CINECO FESTIVAL

BASES GENERALES:

1. El festival está abierto a todo tipo de cortometrajes grabados en cualquier formato, con un tema sobre medio ambiente y ecología, realizados por directores o productores de cualquier parte del mundo.
2. La obra debe estar en español. En caso que el idioma de la película no sea el español, la obra debe presentarse con subtítulos en español.
3. La duración máxima del trabajo es de 30 minutos, incluyendo créditos.
4. El Festival asume que los representantes de los cortometrajes presentados respetan todos los derechos de exposición y promoción de las obras. CINECO FESTIVAL no se responsabilizará de cualquier incumplimiento de esta norma.
5. El Festival podrá utilizar las imágenes proporcionadas por los autores de las obras para promocionar el evento, así como fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas en la presente edición y futuras ediciones.

6. El Festival podrá proyectar las obras ganadoras en actos celebrados en la ciudad durante el mismo año que se celebra CINECO FESTIVAL y el siguiente como antesala de la siguiente edición, previa notificación a sus autores.
Secciones
7. Se realizarán dos secciones:
• Cortometraje documental sobre ecología o medio ambiente. Se valorará positivamente la participación de científicos en el equipo técnico o artístico.

• Cortometraje no documental. Se contemplan cortometrajes de ficción o animación sobre ecología o medio ambiente. Se valorará positivamente la participación de científicos en el equipo técnico o artístico.
Premios
8. El Mejor cortometraje documental y el mejor cortometraje no documental se llevarán un premio de 500 euros cada uno.
9. El Festival distinguirá la obra mejor valorada por el público otorgándose así el Premio del Público.
10. Se podrán otorgar menciones especiales si el jurado así lo considera.
11. La organización podrá invitar a algunos representantes de las obras finalistas, a presentar una ponencia sobre su trabajo, ya sea en formato presencial u online.
INSCRIPCIONES:
12. El plazo de inscripción y presentación de obras finaliza el 21 de noviembre de 2022.
13. La organización del Festival comunicará el veredicto a los productores y/o directores de las obras seleccionadas por el Comité de Selección antes del 30 de octubre de 2022 por correo electrónico.
14. Las obras podrán ser inscritas a través de la plataforma de MOVIBETA.
15. El autor o la productora que representa o distribuye la obra seleccionada se compromete a enviar la copia para su proyección en formato digital antes del 13 de noviembre de 2022 a través de wetransfer a cinecofestival@gmail.com o mediante la plataforma en que haya inscrito la obra. El archivo debe enviarse en formato mp4 en alta calidad en códec H264, sonido estéreo. Si contienen subtítulos deberá enviarse dos archivos: uno con subtítulos en español incrustados y otra sin subtítulos.
16. La dirección del festival designará a los miembros del jurado del concurso, que serán científicos relacionados con el medio ambiente y cineastas especializados.
17. El Festival se reserva el derecho de dejar sin efecto el premio.
18. La participación en el Festival implica la aceptación de estas normas.
19. La resolución del concurso se hará pública el día de la clausura y se notificará a todos los seleccionados vía email.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: (English version)

1. The festival is open to all kinds of short films recorded in any format, with a theme on the environment and ecology, made by directors or producers from anywhere in the world.
2. The work must be in Spanish. In case the language of the film is not Spanish, the work must be presented with subtitles in Spanish.
3. The maximum duration of the work is 30 minutes, including credits.
4. The Festival assumes that the representatives of the short films presented respect all the rights of exhibition and promotion of the works. CINECO FESTIVAL will not be held responsible for any breach of this rule.
5. The Festival may use the images provided by the authors of the works to promote the event, as well as fragments of the works selected in this edition and future editions.

6. The Festival may screen the winning works at events held in the city during the same year that CINECO FESTIVAL is held and the following year as a prelude to the next edition, prior notification to its authors.
Sections
7. Two sections will be held:
• Documentary short film about ecology or environment. The participation of scientists in the technical or artistic team will be positively valued.

• Non-documentary short film. Fiction or animation short films on ecology or the environment are contemplated. The participation of scientists in the technical or artistic team will be positively valued.
Awards
8. The Best Documentary Short Film and the Best Non-Documentary Short Film will win a prize of 500 euros each.
9. The Festival will distinguish the work best valued by the public, thus awarding the Audience Award.
10. Special mentions may be awarded if the jury considers it so.
11. The organization may invite some representatives of the finalist works to present a paper on their work, either in person or online.
REGISTRATION:
12. The deadline for registration and presentation of works ends on October 30, 2022.
13. The organization of the Festival will communicate the verdict to the producers and/or directors of the works selected by the Selection Committee before November 14, 2022 by email.
14. The works may be registered through the FILMFREEWAY, MOVIBETA and FESTHOME platform.
15. The author or production company that represents or distributes the selected work undertakes to send the copy for its projection in digital format before November 20, 2022 through wetransfer to cinecofestival@gmail.com or through the platform on which it is available. registered the work.
