I was the director on a movie that we submitted to FilmFreeway for the Colorado Christian Short Film Festival. This was our first film, so submitting it was also a new experience for us. It took me a little while to figure out the navigation for FilmFreeway, but once I did I was able to supply all the necessary information. I was not able to attend the festival, but our Screen Writer was able to represent us. I asked her opinion of the festival and it was a very favorable one. The five stars given for each of the aspects of the festival were agreed upon by both of us. Her goal in going to the festival was of course to represent out movie, but also to network and make connections with others that make movies. She was very pleased with her experience and made many great contacts. Her entire experience of the festival was very favorable expect for her lodging which was really not directly connected to the festival. The La Quinta Inn was close to the venue, so she chose it. Apparently the rooms and other facilities were in poor condition. One example, one of her friends did not have water or light in her bathroom. So, the organizers may want to take note of that for the next festival, but that did not spoil my friends enjoyment of the festival. She said that the organizers and the staff of the church were wonderful. She and I were kind of tag teaming this submission because my login to FilmFreeway was great, but she has still not be able to correct her login account on FilmFreeway. And since I submitted the movie, I was keeping track on the steps in the submission and judging process. So, between the two of us, we kept in communications on how everything was going. This has been a very positive experience for both of us and we are eager to possibly submit our movie to another festival, or make a new movie and submit it. This experience has blown a wind of encouragement on our creative fire. Thank you.

The Colorado Christian Short Film Festival is such a delightful film festival that focuses on putting creators and their visions first. It was such an honor to screen "Open Heart" to an audience and to watch all the other delightful films as well.
