Award Criteria:
The jury will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
a.
Creative Use of AI: How inventively and meaningfully AI technologies are integrated into the filmmaking process. This includes AI-generated visuals, scripts, editing, sound design, or conceptual frameworks.
b.
Originality and Artistic Vision: The uniqueness of the concept, narrative, or aesthetic approach, and how it reflects an individual or collective artistic voice.
c.
Technical Execution: The overall production quality, including coherence, editing, sound, and visual impact, regardless of whether AI or traditional tools were used.
d.
Thematic Relevance: How the work engages with the theme of artificial intelligence, whether through direct commentary, experimentation, or speculative imagination.
e.
Emotional or Intellectual Impact: The ability of the video to move, provoke, or stimulate reflection in the viewer.
f.
Clarity of Concept and Intent: How clearly the creators’ ideas are conveyed, either through the video itself or accompanying materials (such as synopsis or artist statement).
g.
Experimental Risk and Innovation: The extent to which the project takes creative risks or explores unconventional uses of AI in storytelling or aesthetics.
By submitting your film, you grant the AI Film Festival the right to screen your film during the festival dates and to use it for promotional purposes related to the festival.
The awarded films will also be available on the Youtube channel. The festival reserves the right to use excerpts (up to 3 minutes) from accepted films for promotional purposes, including for future editions of the festival.
Decisions made by the selection committee and jury are final.
The festival is not responsible for any technical issues with submitted screeners. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure the screener is functional.
The festival reserves the right to make changes to the festival program or regulations at any time.
