Partnered with Cineworld Cinemas Bute Street Festival has quickly forged a reputation of screening only the best in independent films. Films ranging from award winning up and coming Director Michael Beddoe's short film 'Sequins' currently storming the international festival circuit to Elijah Woods BAFTA award winning independent feature film 'Set Fire to the Stars'.

Spread over 4 days Bute Street Festival has created a significant platform for independent artists and creatives with genuine exposure to the commercial market. As well as walking away with a custom made award, the trailers of all of the winning films get played at Cineworld's cinemas across the East of England. This coupled with amazing networking opportunities, industry talks, labs and seminars in collaboration with the BFI Bute Street Festival is not to be missed.

  • These people were a pleasure to work with. Particularly for such a young festival, I was impressed with how smoothly everything went on the logistics end. My team is in America and couldn't attend the screening, but they Skyped us in for a talkback afterwards and it was lovely. Thoughtfully curated questions, a warm host, etc.. I hope they continue to grow!

Terrific festival with great communication and a varied intelligent selection. We couldn't make it to the screening but it looked like a lot of fun.

Bute Street Film Festival is only in its second seasons and is already a force to be reckoned with, in my opinion. The festival showcases emerging as well as established creatives on the film, art and music scene with an independent spirit. I felt privileged to be part of the festival and can't wait to see more from Bute Street Film Festival to which I will be making future submissions. Loved the aftershow celebrations and performances too!

I was not able to attend the festival but the communication, friendliness, and level of excitement to screen Portrait of a Superhero was amazing. Doing a skype Q&A after the screening was a really great way to still be able to interact. I hope to be able to attend in the future!
