I really loved Bute Street Film Festival. The standard of short films was really high- and made me feel super proud to be selected. They offer great development workshops for filmmakers- and really take the time to communicate with you. The team behind Bute Street FF are really passionate about film, music and story telling- as well as providing opportunities for emerging artists.

  • Bute Street Festival was a great experience! We had a very warm welcome upon arrival and it was very well organised. For us the festival was even more special as we had our première here and we won Best Short Film! The award we received was of good quality and there where plenty of spaces to take pictures.
What I like about the festival was its diverse programme with music, art and film. I would definitely recommend going here besides the obvious, it is very easy to get to, they show quality and it's always a great way to meet fellow filmmakers and artists. - Elja ten Velden

The Bute Street Festival offered the best first screening of our short film "The Monster At Home". The Hat Factory arts centre is a great venue and from the moment we arrived there was an instant buzz.

The Bute Street Festival is Filmmaker friendly with ample opportunity for creators to talk about their work and the audience questions during Q&A's are enthusiastic and diverse.

A great festival that puts Luton on the map for supporting indie content creators.

It was my first time at the Bute Street Festival and it didn't disappoint. Having entered a script in the festival and been selected (with two others) to receive feedback, it was a really useful experience and well worth the fee. The modernised premises are fantastic and the range of creative events put on were great. I spoke with the guy running the storyboarding workshop and would have attended that as well as the film funding session had I not agreed to meet friends. Great festival. I will hopefully get a film in for next year's festival!
