Food is a powerful force that brings people together, creates community, and offers us connection. Food is not just sustenance, it is nourishment, tradition, celebration, memories, and culture. Food can be nostalgia which transports us to other times, places, and even our childhood.
Our goal is to bring stories about diverse cultures and cuisines as it reflects our community and our shared humanity.
We welcome films that explore what we eat and who we eat with—from behind-the-scenes at farms, kitchens, culinary settings, or through the stories of those who grow, prepare, and share food, devour it, and cherish it. Animated shorts, documentaries, features and short films are welcomed!
Bring your best dish to our inaugural Burien Food Film Festival! Let’s eat!
