About us :
Brussels World Film Festival is a seasonal GOLD FilmFreeway competition to be celebrated at the Brussels city.

We are committed to promote new filmmakers projects and showcase their films to international audiences. Our mission is to screen independent films of all genres from all around the world.

Selection process :
Once you submit your project, it will be reviewed by our screeners team. Film rating will be based on originality and creativity, direction, writing, cinematography, performances, production value, pacing, structure, sound & music.
Films with the highest scores will be part of the Semi Finalist Selection and will receive an email notification with the corresponding laurel. Non-Selected films will also receive an email from FilmFreeway on the notification date.

All Semi-Finalist movies will be watched and reviewed by our Jury who will select the winners.

Rules & Terms

Rules & Terms

If you submit your film, you agree with the following rules:

1: Short films must be 40 minutes or less

2: Films must be fully completed prior to the date the project is submitted

3: Films must be submitted with a private link ( Vimeo, YouTube , FilmFreeway ). Other format is currently not accepted.,

4: Films contacting any other language than English must have English subtitles.

5: BFF has no premiere status requirements.

6: All fess are not transferable and not refundable.

7: We don’t not offer fee waivers

8: BFF may use portions of your film ( including trailer/ teaser/ stil/ poster) for promotional purposes.

9: You must own the rights on your form in order to submit.

10: Festvial event dates and times might be delayed or changed.

11: We are not liable for any copyright infringements or unauthorized usage and any conflict should be settled by the parties involved thereof.

12: You are responsible for any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity.

13: Feedback will not be given to non-selected films

14: BFF can consider any film to be disqualified if the festival considers the content inappropriate. If you have any questions regarding this decision, you might contact us.

15: All submissions in personal categories required the name of the person and the category. You can easily send us this information in the cover letter at the FilmFreeway website.

16: Not all the submissions are selected for the official competition. Our Judges are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about not selected films.
