Brood X, or (brood 10) provides a platform for visual storytellers to share their work in front of a physical audience composed of other movie-makers, creatives, producers, enthusiasts, and storytellers. A night of celebration and collective appreciation for the work we all put into the stories we tell.
What the frick is Brood X? Our namesake, Brood X is the brood of periodical cicadas that emerged in 2021 having spent the previous 17 years underground! Like these cicadas, your ideas and your stories have been growing and developing out of sight, waiting patiently to burst from the depths - to be seen, to be heard. Like the song of the cicada, the thunderous buzz that resonates with all those who grew up in the midwest; this event will bring a warm nostalgia for summer nights, while creating new memories of unharnessed expression and storytelling in the process.
