The Brive Film Festival is the first film festival exclusively dedicated to medium length films (30 to 60 minutes). Since its creation in 2004 by the French Directors' Guild (SRF), the festival provides exceptional visibility to this particular format. Initially French only, the festival's competition became European in 2010, then opened up to international in 2018.

A place for talent revelation, the festival promotes the emergence of young filmmakers; it also focuses on discovering medium-length films by recognized filmmakers. Around the competition, the festival offers auteur focuses, special screenings, TV series, professional meetings, pitch workshops, cine-concerts and even screenings for schools...

The festival maintains its legendary friendliness by increasing the opportunities of exchanges with the audience and meeting spaces between professionals.
