Rules & Terms

1) Web series no longer than ten minute episodes. Longer episodes can be entered into Web films feature.
2) Longer formats can be accepted in the Web Film submission.
3) Submitters most have the permission of the content owner to submit.
4) If your submission is in a language other than English, please include subtitles with English translations.
5) Series submitted most have at least two completed episodes in order to be considered.
6) Once you submit your content to British Web Awards you allow your permission for your work and image to be used for promotional benefit of the Event.
7) Judges decisions are final.

    We could not be more honoured to receive 'Best Web Series of 2025' for our micro budget series BROKE ACTOR. Chris & the British Web Awards Team hold a special place in our heart as the first festival to nominate our first web series 'Social Murderer' back in 2020, and the festival continues to grow and uphold incredible warmth, support and values - in watching all series submitted through, and spotlighting creators creating great work on limited resources. Whilst being a fully online festival, Chris and the team do an amazing job at curating the Awards Ceremony to be an entertaining, exciting watch with some amazing Guest presenters from within the Film Industry. We had the legend Warwick Davis present our award which was an incredible surprise - we were absolutely speechless!! Being an Independent Filmmaker (and Actor) is not an easy path, you do the best you can with what you have and you hope that your work gets seen and resonated with at the end of it all. Thank you Chris & Team for seeing us, and recognising our work and making us feel so welcomed and appreciated at your festival. Highly recommend to any Independent Creators out there looking for a festival to submit to that truly values the work!

    A really genuine and well thought out festival. We had a great experience with British Web Awards and thoroughly enjoyed the watching the other nominated series. As the festival Winner, we received a trophy (shipped to Australia!) and felt that the judges involved were very invested in championing filmmakers. Loved being apart of BWA! Thankyou for a fantastic experience!

    Awesome festival that goes above and beyond to produce an award ceremony anyone would be proud of! They are easy to get in contact with and happy to answer any questions you may have. Networking is limited as it is an online festival, but you can get a lot from checking out other projects and following their social media!
