As part of our annual Poetry Film Festival in Bristol, UK, we host the Poetry Film Live Award which is open to filmmakers and poets from everywhere. The selected films are shown as part of the festival and the audience decide on the awards.
Send your entries and join us if you can.

All selected entries will be awarded the Poetry Film Festival laurel and the audience choice of the Best Poetry Film/Animation will also receive £150.

All entries must be 5 minutes or less and have been made since Jan 2024.
Each entry must convey a poem (present audibly and/or visually).
Poetry films in all languages are accepted but, if not in English, subtitles or captions in English should be provided.
You can submit as often as you like, but each entry must be submitted separately.
By submitting to Bristol Poetry Film Competition you acknowledge that the work is yours, and that you have obtained permission(s) where required. (Responsibility for copyright and third party authorisations lies with the creator.)
Films will be shortlisted by a selection panel. These films will be shown at the festival in Bristol on 17th October 2026. All selected films will receive a festival laurel.
An award for the best film will be made by the audience.
The prize money of £150 will be paid to the directors by bank transfer or PayPal.
