Il "Brevemente International Cinefest" (di seguito "BIC") è organizzato da "Il Volto di Velluto", un'associazione culturale con sede a Brenta (Varese), Italia.
Per la sua seconda edizione, il BIC invita film-maker da tutto il mondo a realizzare un film incentrato sul tema "LIBERTÀ", intesa come libertà creativa. Questa edizione del festival, infatti, non si focalizzerà su una tematica specifica, lasciando perciò piena libertà di espressione agli autori che vi prenderanno parte.
Il BIC è un festival cinematografico esclusivamente destinato a film girati con telefoni cellulari.
Saranno quindi considerati SOLO film girati con le telecamere dei telefoni cellulari.
I film devono avere una durata massima di 2 minuti, esclusi i titoli di coda e l’eventuale schermo nero iniziale, con una tolleranza massima fino a 35 secondi.
Sono ammessi film di qualsiasi genere (animazione, fiction, videoarte, videoclip) purchè realizzati interamente con uno smartphone.
Saranno esclusi dal festival lavori con contenuti ritenuti volgari, pornografici o offensivi.
Non è richiesto lo status di anteprima per il film proposto.
I film inviati non devono imitare o plagiare opere protette da copyright; devono inoltre disporre di tutti i diritti e le autorizzazioni necessarie per la proiezione pubblica.
I film-maker sono responsabili di qualsiasi violazione delle norme e dei regolamenti sul copyright.
Le candidature saranno accettate solo tramite www.filmfreeway.com e devono essere inviate entro e non oltre il 15 OTTOBRE 2025. Non saranno accettate candidature in formato cartaceo.
È possibile inviare più candidature. Per ogni candidatura è necessario versare una quota di iscrizione separata.
I film prodotti in lingue diverse dall'italiano devono obbligatoriamente avere sottotitoli leggibili in inglese o italiano per poter essere valutati per la selezione ufficiale.
I sottotitoli in lingua inglese saranno accettati solo per la fase di selezione preliminare.
Qualora il film fosse inserito nella selezione ufficiale, sarà necessario fornire i sottotitoli in lingua italiana.
Le candidature saranno valutate dagli organizzatori del festival, che sceglieranno i film da includere nella selezione ufficiale.
I film selezionati saranno proiettati pubblicamente e parteciperanno al concorso del festival. Il BIC contatterà i filmmaker inclusi nella selezione ufficiale solo via email e chiederà loro di inviare 2-3 fotogrammi tratti dal backstage del corto (a dimostrazione che il film è stato girato con lo smartphone). Per i film in lingue diverse dall'italiano, verrà inoltre chiesto di fornire i sottotitoli in italiano.
Il BIC comunicherà a tutti i candidati selezionati l'esito della selezione al festival non oltre il 30 OTTOBRE 2025.
Una giuria di esperti sceglierà i vincitori dei premi tra i film inseriti nella selezione ufficiale.
I vincitori dei premi saranno annunciati durante la cerimonia di premiazione che si terrà il 15 NOVEMBRE 2025, presso il Centro Studi Arti Sceniche del Volto di Velluto, in via Enrico Fermi 615 a Ispra (VA)
Tutte le decisioni in merito alla selezione sono irrevocabili. Il BIC non è tenuto a fornire risposte, commenti, motivazioni o altre informazioni riguardo alla selezione o alla mancata selezione dei film inviati o alla procedura di selezione dei film.

“Brevemente International Cinefest” (hereinafter “BIC”) is organized by “Il Volto di Velluto”, a cultural association based in Brenta (Varese), Italy.
For its second edition, BIC is inviting filmmakers from all over the world to create a film based on the theme of FREEDOM, intended as creative freedom. This year’s edition of the festival will not focus on a specific topic, thus allowing full expressive freedom to the filmmakers.
BIC is a film festival exclusively dedicated to films shot with mobile phones.
Only films shot with mobile phone cameras will be accepted.
Films must have a maximum duration of 2 minutes (excluding end credits and any opening black screen), with an additional tolerance of up to 35 seconds.
Films of any genre are allowed (animation, fiction, video art, music video), as long as they are made entirely with a smartphone.
Vulgar, porn, or demeaning and offensive films will be disqualified.
No premiere status is required.
The submitted films shall not imitate or plagiarize any copyrighted work. We require films to have all necessary rights and releases secured for us to feature them. We only accept films that are free for audiences.
Filmmakers are responsible for any violation of copyright norms and regulations.
Submissions will be accepted only via www.filmfreeway.com and must be sent no later than OTTOBRE 15, 2025.No hard copy submissions will be accepted.
Multiple submissions are accepted. All submissions require a separate fee.
Films produced in languages other than Italian must have legible English or Italian subtitles to be considered for official selection.
Please note that English subtitles will be accepted only for this preliminary selection phase. If your film is included in the official selection of the festival, you will be required to provide subtitles in Italian.
Submissions will be evaluated by the festival organizers, who will choose the films that will make up the official selection. Selected submissions will be programmed for screening and enter the festival competition.
If your entry is included in the official selection, BIC will contact you by email only and request to send 2-3 stills taken during the shooting. If your film is in a language other than Italian, you will also be required to provide subtitles in Italian.
BIC will notify all applicants who have been selected to participate in the festival no later than OCTOBER 30 2025.
Among the official selection, a qualified panel of judges will choose the award winners.
The winners will be announced during the award ceremony on NOVEMBER 15, 2025, held at Centro Studi Arti Sceniche Il Volto di Velluto, Via Enrico Fermi 615, Ispra (VA), Italy.
All selection decisions are final and unreviewable. BIC is not required to provide any feedback, comments, or reasons, or any other information, regarding the selection or non-selection of any submitted film or the process by which films are or have been selected.
