Following last year's huge audience response, with sell out sessions at all of our cinemas, on-demand second screenings, and an audience of over a thousand movie-goers, the City of Boroondara is proud to host the second year of the Boroondara Seniors Film Festival (BSFF).
We are a unique festival that challenges the under-representation and largely negative stereotyping of older adults in mainstream film and television. We source films that showcase the vast range of experience in being an older adult. Whether through documentary, drama or comedy, our festival is designed to depict older adults as major characters, in ways that represent the true diversity of their experience.
With a curated selection of both feature and short films from around the world, we are very excited to be opening the floor to the world of short filmmakers, both local Boroondara residents and those from afar.
