Bocas Film Fest

All contestants in all categories must complete the online entry form accompanied by the applicable submission fee per entry. Only entries that meet this requirement will be considered for the Bocas Film Fest Competition. A physical mailing address must be included on your entry form. Entries submitted without a physical mailing address will be deemed ineligible with no refund of entry fees.

Entry fees are non-refundable. Once an entry payment has been received, we cannot provide a refund. If a payment is disputed by an entrant for any reason, the entrant will be subject to any transaction fees, or similar amounts, incurred by Bocas Film Fest in connection with the dispute.

Submission of an entry in any category gives Bocas Film Fest permission to have accepted work exhibited, locally telecast, and reproduced either in part or whole for marketing or publicity purposes. Contestants can request in writing that their material not be used for such purposes.

Please make sure you enter the applicable category(s) from the list(s) on our website. You must submit a separate entry for each individual genre and/or category. Bocas Film Fest retains the right to reassign any submissions to one of the listed categories with no further notification. All categories are listed on www.filmfreeway.com/

To be eligible for competition awards, all entries must be received no later than each individual competition deadline.

SELECT WINNERS AND THE JUDICIAL PROCESS

Bocas Film Fest has no obligation to disclose identities of screeners, judges, notes, feedback, or information relating to submitted work, and/or details regarding the submission review or selection process. BFF explicitly disclaims any liability or responsibility for any comments, notes, or opinions expressed about a submission, whether by Bocas or by its volunteers.

CERTIFICATION, RETURNS & ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

Submitter(s) also acknowledges that he or she has read, understood, agreed with, and will comply with all of the Terms and Conditions listed on this page, and submitter(s) accept all of the terms and conditions herein, in their entirety, without modification, and that he or she is 18 years of age or older and mentally competent to submit this application. I/We have read all of the rules, fully understand and will comply with these rules, and have complied with these rules.

I/We warrant the submission of my/our original work and that there are no disputes regarding the ownership of the submission. I/We also warrant the submitted material does not defame or invade the rights of any person living or dead. I/We understand that failure to adhere to competition rules and regulations will result in disqualification and forfeiture of entry fee. I/We acknowledge that once an entry payment has been submitted, BFF will not provide a refund.

Revisions of materials will be accepted through the end of the LATE SUBMISSION PERIOD.

PRIVACY POLICY

You are providing your information to Indie Originals and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in conjunction with the following Privacy Policy found at www.indieoriginals.com/privacy-policy/. Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current United States of America data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.

AMENDMENTS

Bocas Film Festival reserves the right to cancel or amend the terms and conditions to the Competition, without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, epidemic, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of BFF control. Any changes to the Competition will be notified to the entrants as soon as possible by the Promoter via social media or email.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

I hereby release Bocas Film Festival (and all persons acting under its permission or authority) from all claims for libel, slander, invasion of privacy, infringement of patent, infringement of trademark, infringement of copyright, right of publicity, or any other claim related to any submitted book, game, song, video, narrative, or documentary. This release includes without prejudice or limitation any claims related to blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, digital alteration, use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, or use of a fictitious name, that may occur or be produced in the processing or publication any creative work entered into the Indie Originals competition.

BY SUBMITTING THE MATERIAL, I/WE HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY, HOLD HARMLESS, AND DEFEND INDIE ORIGINALS INC, ITS EMPLOYEES, DIRECTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AFFILIATES FROM ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS, AND DAMAGES IN CONNECTION WITH ANY SUBMISSION AND FROM ANY FEES AND EXPENSES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY AND ALL ATTORNEYS’ FEES THAT MAY INCUR IN CONNECTION WITH ANY CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR A BREACH THEREOF. ANY DISAGREEMENTS THAT CANNOT BE REMEDIED VIA A CIVIL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SUBMITTER AND INDIE ORIGINALS, INC. SHALL BE SETTLED BY ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS COMMERCIAL [OR OTHER] ARBITRATION RULES, AND JUDGMENT ON THE AWARD RENDERED BY THE ARBITRATOR(S) MAY BE ENTERED IN ANY COURT HAVING JURISDICTION THEREOF. FOR INTERNATIONAL ENTRIES, ANY CONTROVERSY OR CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS CONTRACT, OR THE BREACH THEREOF, SHALL BE DETERMINED BY ARBITRATION ADMINISTERED BY THE INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ITS INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION RULES. THE SUBMITTER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT REMEDIATION WILL BE LIMITED TO A REFUND OF SUBMISSION FEES.

THIS COMPETITION IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
