SUMMER ON THE STREETS BOULDER COUNTY FILMMAKERS SHOWCASE
The objective of the BOCO Filmmakers Showcase is to promote the cinematographic art by presenting a diverse program of short films from local filmmakers, as well as showcase the work of talented filmmakers who successfully use creative cinematic language forms. The festival’s aim is to promote and propagate short films and to develop a spirit of friendship and cooperation between filmmakers, while also highlighting the diverse creatives in our neighborhood!
Call for entries for the 1st BOCO Filmmakers Showcase- Deadline: July 1, 2022. Event will be held August 20, 2022 in Downtown Longmont. The Festival will run around 90 minutes. All Filmmakers are invited to join the filmmakers panel to be held August 18th at the Firehouse Art Center.
We are looking for films with exceptional storytelling, whether fiction, non-fiction, animation, or otherwise. If you are a Boulder Filmmaker that is looking to showcase a film already completed or or one that you are working on currently, we encourage you to submit your work!
The film can be on any subject (family friendly as it will be aired at an all ages Street Festival), viewpoint or style. Fiction, documentaries, experimental, student, and animation short films not exceeding 25 minutes in length can be submitted for participation in the festival
Submission and Review Process:
– Deadline- July 1, 2022
– Notification- July 22, 2022
– Please submit a link (public or private, if currently unreleased) to your film to info@firehouseart.org. It can be a YouTube or Vimeo link. If accepted, you will be asked to share your film through a transfer service.
– If you are one of the small group of finalists that advance through peer reviews, your video will be aired at the Summer on the Streets BoCO Filmmakers Showcase.
