Agricultural biodiversity is a treasure to be passed down and defended, a heritage of immeasurable value for the environment, culture, economy, and gastronomy. It is our responsibility to protect the wealth of crops and plant varieties that humanity has selected and preserved over the centuries. The Bio Film Festival aims to share and promote awareness of biodiversity, fostering debate on this crucial and timely topic.

The second edition of the festival has chosen landscapes as its central theme to create social fabrics and address issues revolving around the topic of biodiversity in a systematic manner. The festival is a tribute to nature and an opportunity to express gratitude and celebrate the harvest of the year. Set in the picturesque province of Belluno, amidst the majestic Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, the festival will take place in the municipality of Sospirolo in an open-air theater, providing a unique and evocative setting.

The Bio Film Festival embraces a variety of works, including fiction short films, animation, and documentaries that narrate biodiversity in its multiple facets. During the final evening, awards will be presented for the best short film, best animated short film, and best documentary.

The festival's logo depicts a child, a symbol of purity, re-populating a biodiversity-deprived gray world with its steps, reflecting the message of hope and regeneration that the festival aims to spread. In this context, the Bio Film Festival positions itself as a significant platform to explore, celebrate, and protect our agricultural and landscape heritage, promoting awareness and action to preserve the diversity that makes our land unique.

La biodiversità agricola è un tesoro da tramandare e difendere, un patrimonio di inestimabile valore per l'ambiente, la cultura, l'economia e la gastronomia. È nostra responsabilità proteggere la ricchezza di colture e varietà vegetali che l'umanità ha selezionato e preservato nel corso dei secoli. Il Bio Film Festival si pone l'obiettivo di condividere e far conoscere la biodiversità, generando dibattito e consapevolezza su questo tema cruciale e attuale.
La seconda edizione del festival ha scelto i paesaggi come tema centrale, per creare tessuti sociali ed affrontare le tematiche che ruotano attorno al tema della biodiversità in modo sistemico.
Il festival rappresenta un omaggio alla natura e un'occasione per ringraziare e festeggiare il raccolto dell'anno. Ambientato nella suggestiva provincia di Belluno, tra le maestose Dolomiti, patrimonio mondiale dell'umanità, il festival si svolgerà nel Comune di Sospirolo in un teatro a cielo aperto, offrendo uno scenario unico e suggestivo.
Il Bio Film Festival accoglie una varietà di opere, includendo cortometraggi di finzione, animazione e documentari che narrano la biodiversità nelle sue molteplici sfaccettature. Durante la serata finale, saranno premiati il miglior cortometraggio, il miglior cortometraggio in animazione e il miglior documentario
Il logo del festival, raffigura un bambino che, simbolo di purezza, attraverso i suoi passi ripopola un mondo grigio privo di biodiversità, riflette il messaggio di speranza e rigenerazione che il festival si prefigge di diffondere. In questo contesto, il Bio Film Festival si propone come una piattaforma significativa per esplorare, celebrare e proteggere il nostro patrimonio agricolo e paesaggistico, promuovendo la consapevolezza e l'azione per preservare la diversità che rende unica la nostra terra.

The registrations are open until May 15, 2024.

1. To participate in the competition, each artist must:

- Fill out the online registration form.

2. Required documentation:
For pre-selection, video artists, both individual and collective (hereinafter referred to as artists' names), must send to the email address:
- The YouTube or Vimeo link of the video to be submitted to the competition,
- The link to your website or Facebook page.

3. All registered works must be strictly original, under penalty of exclusion from the competition. Each participant guarantees the actual authorship of the work.

4. The author also guarantees that no rights of any kind are imposed on the work presented in favor of third parties. Contestants also assume all responsibility towards the project in relation to any violations of copyright belonging to third parties, committing to compensate the Organizing Body and the Organization.

5. Artists of any nationality can participate in the event.

6. To ensure a high-quality level, the Organization reserves the right to carry out an initial selection based on the material received.

7. In no case will works with intolerant/offensive content of religious, social, political, racial, or sexual nature be accepted, at the exclusive and indisputable judgment of the Organization.

8. The competition involves a popular jury and a quality jury. Any specifics will be published on the website www.biofilmfestival.it.

9. The awards will be published on the website www.biofilmfestival.it.

10. The promotion of the competition will be directed towards major social networks and the most important portals and newspapers of artistic information and entertainment, ensuring the maximum possible visibility to participating artists.

11. The film work must be accompanied by subtitles in English or Italian.

Le iscrizioni sono aperte fino al 15 maggio 2024.

1. Per partecipare alla competizione, ogni artista deve:

- Compilare il modulo di registrazione online.

2. Documentazione richiesta:
Ai fini della preselezione, gli artisti video, sia individuali che collettivi (di seguito denominati nomi degli artisti), dovranno inviare all'indirizzo e-mail:
- Il link di Youtube o Vimeo del video da presentare alla competizione,
- Il link al tuo sito web o pagina Facebook.

3. Tutte le opere registrate ammesse devono essere rigorosamente originali, a pena di esclusione dalla competizione. Ogni partecipante garantisce la reale paternità dell'opera.

4. L'autore garantisce inoltre che nessun diritto di alcun tipo è imposto sull'opera presentata a favore di terzi. I concorrenti assumono altresì ogni responsabilità nei confronti del progetto in relazione a eventuali violazioni di diritti d'autore appartenenti a terzi, impegnandosi a risarcire l'Ente Organizzatore e l'Organizzazione.

5. Artisti di qualsiasi nazionalità possono partecipare all'evento.

6. Per garantire un elevato livello qualitativo, l'Organizzazione si riserva il diritto di effettuare una selezione iniziale in base al materiale ricevuto.

7. In nessun caso saranno accettate opere con contenuti intolleranti/offensivi di natura religiosa, sociale, politica, razziale o sessuale, a giudizio esclusivo e incontestabile dell'Organizzazione.

8. La competizione prevede una giuria popolare e una giuria di qualità. Eventuali specifiche saranno pubblicate sul sito www.biofilmfestival.it.

9. I premi saranno pubblicati sul sito www.biofilmfestival.it.

10. La promozione della competizione sarà indirizzata sui principali social network e sui maggiori portali e giornali di informazione artistica e intrattenimento, garantendo agli artisti partecipanti la massima visibilità possibile.

11 L’opera filmica deve essere accompagnata dai sottotitoli in inglese o italiano.
