Each fall, the Big Eddy Film Festival in Narrowsburg, NY advances the traditional art of storytelling by screening the newest and best independent films from around the world and our own backyard. Produced by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance, the festival draws filmmakers and film lovers to a picturesque Catskill Mountains setting with a unique creative upstate energy.

2021 marks the 10th anniversary for the Big Eddy Film Festival! For the past 9 years, the festival has used an invitation-based programming model. We are excited to be welcoming submissions from talented filmmakers and storytellers as we enter our second decade!

The Big Eddy hosts visiting artists, presenting an average of 30 fiction and non-fiction films and offers a variety of exciting events throughout Sullivan County, New York. In addition to screenings at the Art-Deco style Tusten Theatre (Narrowsburg, NY) and outdoor screenings at world class Bethel Woods Center for the Arts (Bethel, NY), the festival hosts panels, workshops, and brunches where filmmakers can share ideas and audiences can glimpse into the creative process behind the films.

Special guests of the festival have included Dylan Baker, Debra Winger, Timothy Busfield, Melissa Gilbert, Richard Masur, Ben Younger and many more.
