BBIFF is a monthly live screening film festival with a yearly live screening mega event in the Cultural capital of India scheduled for the monthly live screenings take place at the end of each month at Rotary Sadan community hall at Kolkata City of Joy. Jury board of BBIFF will select more than 50 films on different categories are officially selected and out of them at least one per category is awarded on every month. Monthly winner films are automatically qualified for the Annual screening and nominated for the prestigious GOLDEN LEO AWARD. The annual event will be a glamorous red-carpet premiere with press conferences and gala parties at Kolkata in the presence of international movie celebrities. Mission: BBIFF is a Progressive Film Movement to create a Space for upcoming film makers and celebration of cross culture through international films. Beside festival BBIFF mission is to providing an international platform for great cinema of worldwide film makers in a big way and to create a professional network of Film maker, Film lover and Film activist and Film Byers and different bodies of film marketing and promotions. ***Every winning film is rated on IMDb by our festival (if applicable).

Rules & Terms

Please read these Rules & Terms carefully before you submit your film

1. The monthly winners will be honoured with winning certificate and laurel. The annual winners will be honoured with winning certificate and laurel & prestigious GOLDEN LEO AWARD trophy.
2. Film must be subtitled in English if language is other than English.
3. Year of production & accepted movie duration
4. The decision of the Jury will be final and can’t be challenged. • Entry submission as per rules & regulations. • Notification of shortlisted regular entries by the festival office on Nov 2022 & shortlisted late entries notification on Nov 2022. • Delegate registration to attend BBIFF at KOLKATA the city of Joy. All filmmakers must have registered as delegate to attend the festival. Hospitality charges are applicable for filmmakers & attendees, which include lunch, tea/coffee with cookies & master classes. • Festival movies screening & workshops followed by award ceremony in Kolkata on Dec 2022.
7. BBIFF does not take any type financial commitment for the expense incurred on the correspondence by the participant. All Travel, Lodging & Boarding and other miscellaneous expenses will have to be borne by the participant himself for attending the festival. No request for the same will be entertained.
8. Once the film submitted can’t be withdrawn in any circumstances, however festival director reserve the rights to disqualify any film on certain grounds.
9. By submitting movie to BBIFF, filmmaker/producer takes the whole responsibility of copyright issues of music, script and other creative and technical aspects of film.

    I've felt really honored to have my film, SUPERCRIME, awarded in four categories: best pilot, post-mordern film, best VFX and debut filmmaker. Communication was really good, they replied to my emails quickly. And I love that they have so many categories, no one is excluded and every type of work can get a chance. If you're an amateur or even a more experienced creator definitely submit! However I wouldn't say it's a good festival for those looking for networking. Everything happens online.
