With a capital once called “the Paris of the Middle East”, Lebanon’s natural and cultural riches have made it one of the top regional tourist hubs. Beirut is a unique city with a more unique people. Being a cosmopolitan place, it is only natural that it produces a certain level of fashion singularity, and an environment in which fashion and design can flourish. The relative freedom experienced in the Lebanese capital has made it a center for creative types and innovators. Lebanese fashion designers became pioneers in the industry and their names are always present at the most prestigious international events & occasions.

Beirut International Fashion Film Festival is an annual event organized by Beirut Film Society under the theme “Beirut Creates” shedding the light on the fashion industry via cinema and films.

BFFF which comprises films about fashion aims to bring back the light for its capital Beirut which was once the Hub for creativity, culture, design and fashion. The festival will consist of fashion films screenings, ateliers with pioneers fashion designers, fashion run-shows and much more. Each year BFFF will celebrate the achievements of a fashion icon.

A jury formed from a variety of professional filmmakers, film critics, fashion designers, and film stylists will evaluate all the selected films; the awards consist of the festival trophy, the award certificate, and financial cash awards.

Awards are offered over all genres in feature and short films categories:
- Best Fiction Film
- Best Documentary Film
- Best Animated Film
- Best Experimental Film
- Best Music Video
- Best Stylist
- Best Costume Design
- Best Production Design

Rules and Regulations:

Filmmakers are invited to submit their original work to Beirut Fashion Film Festival (BFFF) for the above listed categories and as per the assigned duration of each category.

1- FILMS PRODUCED AFTER JANUARY 1, 2020 ARE ELIGIBLE FOR SUBMISSION FOR THE COMING EDITION.

2- FOR INTERNATIONAL FILMS SUBMISSIONS, LEBANESE PREMIERE IS A PREFERENCE – FILMS THAT WERE SCREENED PREVIOUSLY IN LEBANON MAY NOT BE TAKEN INTO CONSIDERATION.

3- BFFF supports part of the travel cost for filmmakers of selected international films to Lebanon during the festival days. (Conditions apply)

4- Submission fees are non refundable and non reimbursable under any circumstances; BFFF does not reimburse any submission fees for films who are not selected for the festival program, or who withdrew their submissions at any time.

5- BFFF retains the right to accept or decline any film, for whatever reason, without any explanation.

6- Applicants admit that they are authorized to submit the film, being the rights-holders or authorized representatives of the film.

7- BFFF receives exhibition copy in QuickTime 1080p HD 8 bit uncompressed or Apple ProRes file or equivalent via a downloadable link.

8- All non-English speaking films must have adequate English subtitles.

9- Screening fees must be declared prior to or upon submission. If a screening fee is only indicated after the official selection has been announced, the festival retains the right to revoke the film's acceptance.

10- Beirut International Fashion Film Festival (BFFF) holds the right to:
• Use the selected films for trailers and publicity usage
• Screen the winning films in other related events inside Lebanon, and recommend the winning films to other international film festivals that collaborate with BFFF after the approval of the filmmakers.
