The largest television network film festival in the United States, The Madavera Expojour JazzTimes Film Festival, produced by The BeBop Channel Corporation, continues our tradition of creative festivals for filmmakers focused on lifestyle, health and the arts!

Taking place at the AMC 10 Theater in Braintree, Massachusetts (a suburb of Boston), the festival will offer, in addition to a one-day screening and cash prizes, licensing opportunities for filmmakers to showcase their film, serial and episodic content and to appear as guests on network programs.

This year's categories center around the September launch of The BeBop Network's three upcoming channels: Madavera (lifestyle and health), Expojour (still photography, filmmaking, enthusiast and associated careers in front of and behind the camera), and JazzTimes.

These channels are powered by various great magazines, including The Writer, Women Create brands, Diabetes Self-Management, BirdWatching, JazzTimes and Outdoor Photographer — a filmmaker's dream in the vast and diverse subject matter we seek for the festival!

The 2023 Madavera Expojour JazzTimes Film Festival will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the AMC Braintree 10 Theater 121 Grandview Road, Braintree, MA. Additionally, public voting will be held over the network during the months of September and October. Winners will be announced on Friday, October 27, 2023.

ALL ENTRANTS MUST AGREE TO HAVE THEIR WORKS SCREENED IN FULL OR IN PART OVER THE NETWORK FOR THE DURATION OF THE FESTIVAL. CASH PRIZE WINNERS MUST AGREE TO AN 18-MONTH LICENSE AGREEMENT. THIS IS NOT REQUIRED FOR OFFICIAL SELECTIONS THAT ARE NON-CASH PRIZE WINNERS.

JAZZTIMES
All formats and lengths are accepted, including films and web series.
Submissions should relate to the musical and cultural aspects of jazz.

GENERAL RULES:

Works can be submitted regardless of when they were completed.
Submissions do not have to be premiered to be selected for exhibition.
Non-English projects must contain English subtitles to be selected for screening.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Submit via the FilmFreeway screener directly or by link. YouTube submissions are accepted, but if selected, entrants must resubmit the work via a direct link other than YouTube, such as via FilmFreeway or Vimeo.
WE CANNOT DOWNLOAD WORKS FROM THE YOUTUBE WEBSITE.

Make your film(s) available for download by the festival until October 27, 2023, should your work(s) be accepted.

Applicant(s) must have the legal ownership right to participate in the festival.
If your submission is selected for screening, you agree to provide the festival with promotional materials, such as stills and bios, as requested.

The BeBop Channel Corporation is hereby granted the right to utilize promotional materials and excerpts from any film accepted for exhibition at the festival for promotional purposes.

The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.

The SUBMITTER shall indemnify and hold harmless The BeBop Channel Corporation, and its affiliates, including Madavor Media, LLC, or any of the owners of the magazines powering content for the festival, including but not limited to The Writer, Women Create brands, Diabetes Self-Management, JazzTimes, BirdWatching, and Outdoor Photographer and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity and screening.

    The AMC Theater screenings were cancelled due to the Actor's strike but we did send information to filmmakers announcing that and about the other part of the festival that will continue as scheduled which includes the public voting and prizes. We will resend your email today!
