Barcelona Film Experience: a Global Confluence of Creativity

Set against the backdrop of the city’s stunning architecture and vibrant culture, the festival serves as a melting pot for diverse voices and perspectives in film. With a mission to foster innovation, collaboration, and artistic excellence, the Barcelona Film Festival not only showcases groundbreaking works but also nurtures a global community of creatives who are passionate about the transformative power of storytelling.

The Filmoteca de Catalunya is a film archive located in Catalunya, Spain, aiming at the preservation of film and the dissemination of audiovisual and film culture. The head office and public rooms (cinemas, exhibition rooms, library) are located in the Raval neighbourhood, in central Barcelona. The Centre de Conservació i Restauració (the institution's Center for Conservation and Restoration) is located in the Parc Audiovisua in Terrassa.

For some years, the Filmoteca de Catalunya's main activity was the daily screening of worldwide and Catalan films. Yet efforts were soon made to create a film collection.

Latest event: May 14, 2025, OUTDOOR THEATER

Selection Process:

Our festival honors exceptional filmmakers through a selection process led by our dedicated programming team. Submitted films are carefully reviewed, and winners are selected based on creativity, storytelling, technical execution, and overall impact.

Award Recognition:

Film Screenings: Award-winning films may be selected for special screenings at one of our prominent events. This provides a valuable opportunity for filmmakers to showcase their work to an engaged audience and industry professionals.

Certification: Winners will receive an official certification of recognition, which will be awarded during a special ceremony held in the theater. This certification symbolizes the filmmaker’s accomplishment and serves as a lasting tribute to their creative achievement.

Public Engagement: In addition to the awards, selected filmmakers will have the opportunity to meet the public and participate in interactive Q&A sessions. • On behalf of CESO ENTERPRISES, INC., Alyssa Dann, and Chris Oledude, I would like to compliment the organizers and operators of the Barcelona Film Experience. We are proud to have had the opportunity to showcase our work, “Orange Blues 24” in your festival, as well as share the spotlight with so many talented film makers. Submitting our film was a simple process, and everyone who contacted us on behalf of this festival was helpful, and easy to communicate with. Although we were not able to attend in person, this will remain a highlight of our year, and we recommend submitting your work to this wonderful festival! We certainly intend to participate again in the future.

    Thank you

    Response from festival:

    Hello,
It’s interesting that you bring this up. You are indeed eligible for a screening at the end of 2025—this has always been clear. What made you think otherwise?
If you have any concerns, we’re here to address them—you just need to reach out to us directly.

The festival is real and has gained considerable popularity. Using terms like “scam” without verifying the facts is not only inappropriate, but also disrespectful to the many people who have poured their passion and effort into this project. Spreading false information can be harmful and unfair to everyone involved.
