The Baksan International Film Festival and Film Awards (BIFFA) is the first international film festival in the Caucasus. It takes place in Baksan, Russia. Its goal is to unite the filmmakers of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia and the rest of the world. The festival unites everyone through the language of cinema. BIFFA is located in the heart of the Caucasus - in the city of Baksan, where you can see the entire Caucasian ridge!
Our mission is to pave a cultural and educational road between the Caucasus, Russia and the rest of the world; to tell the stories and customs of these countries and promote the universal appeal of visual storytelling, human experience and dramatic interpretation; and to convey a powerful message of hope to humanity.
