  • A very warm and inspiring festival experience.
The Australian AI Festival truly celebrates creative experimentation and emerging voices in AI-driven storytelling. Sharing VOIDBORN, an AI-powered animated project, within this context felt genuine and encouraging.

The team was welcoming, communication was smooth, and there’s a real sense of community around innovation, art, and technology. It’s refreshing to see a festival that embraces AI not just as a tool, but as a creative language.

Highly recommended to creators exploring new frontiers in cinema and digital art.

  • This was the inaugural edition of the Australian AI Festival, making it one of the few festivals currently in Australia embracing the medium. Although, I think that's rapidly changing. Suffice to say, I had great time and was very pleased to have participated. Festival Director - Matt Kirby has been running festivals dedicated to Virtual Reality Filmmaking and Gaming for a number of years now and it makes sense he would mount a festival focused on the rapidly emerging creativity in AI filmmaking. The festival also included several guest speakers working in various fields of AI production, education and creativity. Highly informative and also a chance to meet and greet creators and network. Looking forward to seeing how this festival develops. The festival included submissions not only from Australia, but from around the world. Communication with the festival was prompt and informative. It's well worth your while to submit. In spite of few technical glitches on the day - the event was excellent.
