Many thanx for selecting Bad For Good as a finalist for Best Drama Film. While I wasn't able to attend, my experience with submitting the film was excellent - many thanx to Mikel for his assistance. I look forward to submitting future projects to the festival.

I have never encountered a festival director who actually goes out of his/her way to help filmmakers succeed. Mikel Fair, reached out several times to say, "hey, you might think about doing such 'n'such with your submission text." Or, "Maybe put something like 'XYZ' at the end of your submission." When I had some tech difficulties rendering a projection file for the screenings, he went ahead and did it for me, and even PAID for it. The festival created and sent out a video "review" of my submission, which I'd not experienced before. So, DO put ASFF on your list of top festivals.

  • Thanks for selecting "Enter the Room" as a finalist for Best Dark Drama Film at your festival! I couldn't attend the event in person, but I had a great experience with the festival overall, and plan to submit future projects to Austin Short Film Festival.
