The Austin Comedy Film Festival is a seasonal (Spring, Summer, Fall) on the Film Festival Circuit for comedy filmmakers, series creators and screenwriters from all over the world to showcase their creative works in Texas. This event was founded by author and retired filmmaker Mikel Fair who worked on location in the Film and Television industry from 1999-2015. The Austin Comedy Film Festival judges are searching for funny and engaging films to entertain a comedy loving audience. All types of comedy submissions are selected and screened including Funny Music Video, Series Episodes, Dark Comedy, Romantic Comedy, Mockumentary, TV Pilots, Commercials, Micro Films, Animated Comedy, Horror Comedy, Stand-up Comedy, Sketch Comedy, and any other type of Comedy that you can think of. We want our audience to laugh non-stop  in a fun, fast paced program at a great venue. This event was formerly known as the Austin Comedy Short Film Festival, but we are evolving and plan to start screening and selecting Comedy Feature Films in the future.

Had a great time at Austin Comedy Film Festival! Mikel is very professional, helpful, and kind. The venue was great - plenty of space in the lobby for drinks and networking, great screen, great sound. And the films were funny! We were extremely honored when our project TimeSquid won in two different categories. Submit to this festival. Attend if you can. You'll be glad you did.

We were so honored to have two of our projects be a part of the Austin Comedy Film Festival for Fall 2022, our short film SILLY GIRL and our TV pilot proof-of-concept PRO BONO MEANS FREE. While we could not attend, Mikel and his team still made us feel a part of the celebration. We really enjoyed sharing about our projects in our interview as well and were so pumped to have received two award nominations. Thank you ACFF for recognizing comedic works and for being a cheerleader for unique voices.

It was our first live festival outside of Los Angeles and was fantastic. Mikel is not only a wonderful director but is a delight to be around. The selection of shorts were varied and intriguing and was fortunate to be included in lineup this fall.
