The Austin Comedy Film Festival is a bi-annual event on the Film Festival Circuit for comedy filmmakers and screenwriters from all over the world to showcase their creative works in Texas. This event was founded by author and retired filmmaker Mikel Fair who worked on location in the Film and Television industry from 1999-2015.  This event screens international independent short films in a "back to back" format in HD 1080p. Overall Rating
  • This festival really has it all. For me, meeting agents at the event was the greatest aspect. The quality of movie was very high and also very funny. I will be going back every year.

  • Great communication with filmmakers and super fun. Circling back to "Great communication," this is always something to look for when strategizing a festival plan. So disheartening when festivals neglect to reach out to accepted filmmakers. Not the case with Austin Comedy Film Festival (and all of their festivals BTW). Send them your film, they know what they are doing! And thanks again for a great festival!

Unfortunately, due to familial responsibilities, I wasn't able to attend the festival this fall. That being said, Mikel and his team did a top notch job of communicating with all festival participants. The promo videos for categorical finalists are awesome. I'm so stoked that I am going to be able to see my music video screened at the Spring event. It's very nice that Mikel offers a "deferred screening" option. Keep up the good work!
