The Atlanta Women's Film Festival is a live screening of short films and a table read event that takes place in Atlanta, GA. This event is an amazing opportunity to promote female filmmakers, directors, writers, producers, actors, and female-centered storylines to our incredibly supportive film community. There will be live screening blocks of films with Q&As with the filmmakers, table reads for the screenplays in our competition, live panels with influential women in the film industry, and networking events for anyone that would like to attend.

Now Accepting Feature Films and Vertical Short Films!
For the first time, we're officially accepting feature-length films across all genres. In addition, we are now welcoming vertical short films (9:16) created specifically for mobile and digital platforms of 8 minutes or less. We celebrate women’s voices in film—whether you’re telling a story from behind the camera or on screen. If your project is directed by women or centers on women through story or performance, we’d love to consider it.

Calling All Writers
Script writers: Script-only submissions (not entered into a judged category) will receive coverage in 10 business days. If your script is being judged in a competitive category, coverage will be delivered within 10 business days after the notifications are sent to ensure a fair judging process. Your work will be analyzed by a Cinema Life filmmaker who's produced award-winning films, has extensive writing experience, and also understands the indie way of filmmaking.

  • I went into this festival knowing pretty much nothing about what to do next with my script and having no real contacts to bounce ideas off of. I left the festival with a wealth of knowledge and community of talented, wonderful women. Everything was clearly communicated, well organized, informative and FUN! Thank you Atlanta Women's Film Festival for a great weekend.

The Atlanta Women’s Film Festival is fantastic. Kudos to Caroline King for running. It has really grown from its original one-day brewery location to a five-day event at 7 Stages this year. Had a full house and lots of laughter for my mockumentary that screened on final day, Woman of the Year. Highly recommend!
