This event is an amazing opportunity to promote female filmmakers, directors, writers, producers, actors, and female-centered storylines to our incredibly supportive film community. There will be live screening blocks of films with Q&As with the filmmakers, table reads for the screenplays in our competition, live panels with influential women in the film industry, and networking events for anyone that would like to attend.

A Festival with Heart and Insight: The Atlanta Women’s Film Festival

The Atlanta Women’s Film Festival may be small, but it’s packed with heart, care, and a true passion for storytelling. Under the direction of Caroline King, the festival offers a thoughtfully curated selection of films, each chosen with a clear purpose. Caroline’s insight into each film was evident during the Q&A sessions, where she asked meaningful and engaging questions that brought out the best in every filmmaker’s story. Her genuine curiosity and understanding of the films made the experience both enriching and inspiring.

Mara, the programming coordinator, was incredibly helpful and patient, always ready to answer any questions and make sure we knew the lay of the land. Her kindness and professionalism helped create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all attendees.

Overall, the Atlanta Women’s Film Festival stands out for its intimate, personal approach and the attention it gives to each filmmaker and their work. It’s a festival that champions women's voices in film with a lot of heart and care.

  • LOVED presenting my script “Dysphoria?” among the live table reads, and short “THE HUNTED” in a block of strong short films! Caroline and staff put their whole hearts into this festival and it shows! Also very honored to have won Best Horror/Thriller Script for “Dysphoria?” AND Best Horror/Thriller film for “THE HUNTED.” It meant everything to be in the room with such incredible peers. Can’t wait for next year!
