A panel of academic and professional experts will judge the entries.

The short-listed films for the awards will be screened in the main collection at our main venue to the public. Certain films will also be screened in other select cities.

Must have script in English native language with TIME CODES for subtitles

    I thought Richard did a great Job. We had clear communication from the moment we signed up to the festival itself. The turnout for the screening was impressive, and much bigger than similar events I've been to around Shanghai. I only wish there had been more time to network at the screening, as I there were lots of people there I didn't get a chance to talk to. Maybe show the contest films earlier so people have time to stick around afterwards.

    I appreciate your reviews and we will work harder to grow for next year. We had to grow slowly from a city based contest to this new format. Next year the films for awards night will be shown in a more theatrical venue and some other films that are not shortlisted will be shown at other venues on other days building up to awards night. Greater networking will be part of the goal and we will continue screenings, education seminars and networking events throughout the year. Thanks for your great entry and support. We value it.

    Richard and his staff with the contest did such amazing work.

    From day one there is a great line of communication with the contributing teams, support is offered in an expeditious fashion and updates happen in a very timely manner.

    At the event itself, there was good coverage from local media, a photographer was on hand for press materials, there was a high level of engagement with the teams when we arrived and things were handled in a really professional manner.

    It was a hell of a lot of fun and I highly recommend anyone that wants exposure to the rather extensive network of Shanghai filmmakers should take part in this contest.

    The only thing that dropped the value to a 4 star rating was the venue was not so well suited for the festival and the sound in particular was not as good as it could have been due to the physical space of the venue. But next year, that's not going to be a problem.

    I'll go as often as they accept me. You should too.
