Ashli Cubit began writing short stories at twelve and was introduced to the craft of playwriting at fifteen through a summer youth performing arts program, where her play "Westside Bad Girls" won first place for the best playwright.
In 2017, she wrote her first feature-length screenplay, " Unspoken Love," which earned positive feedback from professionals across the country. She enrolled in the NYU/Tisch school TV and film essential program in 2021. As a result, she wrote and directed her first short film, "Ambitious Intentions."
