After leaving behind a career as a linguist, then a psychologist, then a marketer, I pursued my childhood dream of becoming an actor.
About 8 years into my career as a b-movie actor, I grew frustrated with the low-budget indie film scene in LA. I kept auditioning for films that didn't even try to tell a story. Production value kept increasing, but story often seemed but an afterthought.
This frustration prompted me to take matters in my own hand and become a writer, director, producer: a filmmaker.
I had already been a writer (in academia and marketing), so the pivot into screenwriting was challenging, yet fun.
I LOVE stories where people think something supernatural is happening to them, and refuse to believe the natural explanation, even after it's revealed. This is a central theme in most of the stories I tell: the borderland between the supernatural, the conspiracy, and the often delusionary human mind.
Thus far, I've written 5 shorts, 2 features, and a TV-show pilot. Currently developing another 2 feature scripts.
