The Armenian Film Festival Australia showcases a diverse range of Armenian films, celebrating Armenian cinema and artistry while exploring the Armenian experience, its people, rich history, culture, and stories.

Established in 2016, the festival has grown into a premier event for Armenian filmmaking. The 2025 edition will mark its 9th year, continuing its tradition of bringing powerful and thought-provoking films to audiences.

The festival welcomes submissions from around the world, including feature films, documentaries, animations, and short films—whether they are Armenian films or works created by Armenian filmmakers.

To be announced.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By submitting your film for screening at the 2025 Armenian Film Festival Australia (AFFA), you confirm that you have read and agreed to the following terms and conditions:

Submission of your film does not guarantee acceptance. Formal acceptance notification will be provided by Friday 11 May.

All films submitted must have a strong Armenian theme, whether through language, the filmmaker, the storyline, the actors, or production in Armenia. All films in Armenian or other languages must have English subtitles. A film will be rejected if it does not meet this criterion.

A film will not be accepted until all required materials are submitted. Up to 60 seconds of the film may be used by the festival for promotional purposes.

If you submit a film that does not meet our terms, it will be automatically disqualified.

AFFA cannot return any material submitted, except for DCP film copies sent on a hard drive.

AFFA may pass your personal contact details to various media outlets for interviews with your consent.

ACCEPTANCE OF SUBMISSIONS

We will notify you by email once your submission has been accepted, at which time you must supply the following:

- An MP4 or MOV file must be provided regardless of whether a DCP has been supplied or not

- KDM files (if used) must allow time for testing and screening of films covering the period 14 July 31 August 2025.
