La inscripción de trabajos queda abierta desde el día 16 de marzo del 2026 y la fecha límite será el 14 de agosto de 2026 a las 23:59 hrs GMT-5 CDMX
Existen tres categorías de cortometrajes de animación:
● Categoría “Grandes Hechiceros” (Animadores avanzados, maestros y profesionales)
● Categoría “Aprendices de magia” (Animadores estudiantes)
● Categoría “Conjuros Experimentales” (Trabajos de animación no-narrativos o cuyas técnicas son experimentales)

-En cada categoría existirá un ganador y dos menciones honoríficas (Si el jurado así lo considera), el anuncio de los ganadores se realizará en el marco de la clausura del festival y se entregará el galardón correspondiente en los días posteriores al evento.
-El fallo del jurado será inapelable.
-Se recibirán trabajos que hayan sido realizados desde enero del 2023 hasta la actualidad.
-Se aceptarán trabajos en cualquier idioma, pero deberán estar subtitulados ya sea en inglés o en español.
-El material que sea seleccionado de manera oficial, formará parte de un archivo histórico que permanecerá en posesión del festival, sin fines de lucro, ni comercialización y se les notificará a los propietarios cuando sea necesaria alguna proyección de su material, consultándoles en todo momento su aprobación (los propietarios no están obligados a aceptar participaciones el muestras o proyecciones posteriores).
-Al inscribir tu cortometraje estás de acuerdo con el reglamento.
- AnimAura® puede organizar dinámicas para otorgar becas o descuentos para las inscripciones por lo que recomendamos estar pendientes de nuestras redes sociales para enterarte de estas dinámicas.

Consideraciones técnicas
Se aceptarán trabajos en formato MP4 códec H.264 con una duración máxima de 15 min.

Limitantes
● No se aceptarán cortometrajes que muestren violencia hacia la mujer, menores de edad, grupos socialmente reprimidos y animales, sin fines de hacer conciencia.
● Se podrá mostrar contenido sexual no explícito, exceptuando temas como el incesto, el BDSM, o prácticas de extrema violencia.
● Se prohíbe el uso de material que infrinja con los derechos de autor, de ser así, el festival se deslindará de la responsabilidad de ese proyecto y la sanción que exista será para el propietario del material.
● No se aceptarán trabajos que propicien el racismo, xenofobia, chovinismo, y otros tipos de discriminación.
● No se aceptarán trabajos que toquen temas políticos de manera explícita.

Entries are open from March 16, 2026 and the deadline is August 14, 2026 at 23:59 hrs GMT-5 CDMX.
There are three categories of animated short films:
● “Great Wizards” Category (Advanced, Master and Professional Animators).
● “Magic Apprentices” Category (Student Animators).
● “Experimental Conjuring” category (Animation works that are non-narrative or whose techniques are experimental).

-In each category there will be a winner and two honorable mentions (If the jury considers so), the announcement of the winners will be made as part of the closing ceremony of the festival and the corresponding award will be presented in the days following the event.
-The jury's decision will be final.
-Works that have been produced from January 2023 to the present will be accepted.
-Works in any language will be accepted, but must be subtitled in either English or Spanish.
-The material that is officially selected will form part of a historical archive that will remain in the possession of the festival, without profit or commercialization purposes, and the owners will be notified when a screening of their material is necessary, consulting them at all times for their approval (the owners are not obliged to accept participation in subsequent screenings).
-By submitting your short film, you agree to the rules.
- AnimAura® may organize dynamics to grant scholarships or discounts for entries, so we recommend keeping an eye on our social networks to find out about these dynamics.

Technical Considerations
Works will be accepted in MP4 format H.264 codec with a maximum duration of 15 minutes.

Limitations
● Short films that show violence against women, minors, socially repressed groups and animals will not be accepted, without the purpose of raising awareness.
● Non-explicit sexual content may be shown, except for themes such as incest, BDSM, or practices of extreme violence.
● The use of material that infringes copyright is prohibited, if so, the festival will not be responsible for that project and the sanction that exists will be for the owner of the material.
● Works that promote racism, xenophobia, chauvinism, and other types of discrimination will not be accepted.
● Works that explicitly touch on political issues will not be accepted.
