1. Goals
ANIMAVERSO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL is an event that features a selection of works divided into non-competitive exhibitions and competitive exhibitions with awards for different categories. Films can be of all genres, including works of fiction, experimental, documentaries and videoclips, in their respective categories (feature film and short film).
The AnimaVerso International Festival objective is to promote and provoke reflections on the animation industry, promoting the exhibition, distribution and production of audiovisual works created in Santa Catarina, Brazil and the world.
2. Period
The AnimaVerso International Festival will take place from March 26th to 29th, 2026 at CIC in Florianópolis.
3. Organization
The AnimaVerso International Festival is an event created by the Bustingorri brothers, Iván and Jeremías (animators and directors) in partnership with UFSC - Federal University of Santa Catarina represented by animation professor Mônica Stein.
4. Regulation
To register in the selection of the Festival's Exhibitions, you must know the next requirements:
4.a. All films must be completed in digital format and have a maximum duration of 20 (twenty) minutes, for short films, and a minimum 70 (seventy) minutes, for feature films;
4.b. Productions that were completed as of January 2022 may participate in the competitive exhibitions. Works that have participated in previous selections at the AnimaVerso International Festival in any category, whether selected or not, cannot be entered again;
4.c. The short film must have full credits in the opening or ending, including information from the original soundtrack;
4.d. Only films with at least 70% (seventy percent) of animation (in any technique - except AI) will be accepted;
4.e. Will be accepted: works created with traditional or digital animation techniques, such as 2D, 3D, hybrid, stop-motion, and others to be evaluated by the curatorship;
4.f. Works with the participation of members of the festival organization, curators or juries will not be accepted in competitive exhibitions.
4.g. The directors whose films are selected for the AnimaVerso authorize the use of excerpts and stills from the selected film for the production of publicity pieces such as images and/or videos to publicize the Festival, as well as the publication of these pieces on television, print media and/or the Internet;
4.h. The directors whose films are selected for the AnimaVerso authorize the films to be part of the Festival's collection, and may be selected through curatorship for exhibitions to promote the Festival throughout Brazil, with prior notification and authorization from the directors.
5. Online Registration
5.a. The registration for the 3° AnimaVerso International Festival is open from August 25th to November 23rd, at 00:00 (BRT), on the FilmFreeway platform;
5.b. It is up to proponents of international productions with Brazilian directors to choose only one category of participation, whether national or international.
5.c. If the conditions for registration are not met as requested by this regulation, the short film will be disqualified. Applications after the stipulated period will not be accepted;
5.d. The applicant may register more than one film in his/her name, but must submit a new application for each work;
5.f. Films must be submitted for evaluation by the selection committee, according to the category chosen by the director;
5.g. The official language of the AnimaVerso International Festival is Brazilian Portuguese. For subtitling purposes, when registering films produced in other languages, the participant must provide a time-coded text file (.srt or .txt) in English or Spanish, containing the dialogues, narration and music relevant to the understanding of the film.
5.h. The films submitted for selection must confirm that they have the exhibition rights for images and reproduction of the soundtrack of the film, for the purposes of exhibition in festivals and non-profit public exhibitions, exempting the Organization of the AnimaVerso International Festival from the payment of related rights for these exhibitions.
6. Criteria for selection, copies submission and material for exhibition
6.a. The selection criteria of the films, award categories and tributes are the exclusive responsibility of the AnimaVerso International Festival Curatorship.
6.b. The directors of the selected films undertake to send to the Festival organization the download links of the digital file of their works for exhibition, in MP4 or MOV format, HD with h264 compression until February 01, 2026;
6.c. Other promotional materials, such as posters and flyers, must be sent to the Festival organization within the same deadline of February 01, 2026.
6.d. With the authorization of the registered person, all the information present in the registration form, as well as up to 30 seconds of images of the film, can be published and shown on the Festival's website and social media.
6.e. The AnimaVerso Festival official email, where the materials will be sent is animaversofest@gmail.com. This official email will be used as a tool to answer questions and send the materials requested at the time of registration.
7. Jury and Awards
7.a. The jury will be made up of animation, film and culture professionals, invited by the Festival organization, who will decide the winners of each award with supreme and autonomous decision.
7.b. The AnimaVerso Festival criteria for awards are originality, aesthetics, the use of cinematographic language and pioneering in the different languages of animation;
7.c. The award for Best Animation – Popular Jury will be granted to the short film that receives the highest number of votes from the public present at the sessions of the Competitive Exhibition;
7.d. Main categories (best short film and best feature film) will receive a trophy as an award. It will be the responsibility of each registrant, if he/she is not present on the day of the award ceremony, to bear the costs of sending the trophy by mail, if it is in the interest of the person responsible.

1. Objetivos
O FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL ANIMAVERSO é um evento sem fins lucrativos que conta com uma seleção de trabalhos animados divididos em mostras não competitivas e mostras competitivas com premiações para diversas categorias. As animações podem ser de todos os gêneros, incluindo projetos de ficção, experimentais, documentários e videoclipes, nas suas respectivas categorias (curtas e longas).
O objetivo do Festival Internacional AnimaVerso é promover e suscitar reflexões sobre o meio e o mercado de animação, difundindo obras realizadas em Santa Catarina, Brasil e no mundo.
2. Período
O Festival Internacional AnimaVerso será realizado de 26 a 29 de março de 2026 no Centro Integrado de Cultura (CIC) em Florianópolis.
3. Organização
O Festival Internacional AnimaVerso é um evento criado pelos irmãos Bustingorri, Iván e Jeremías (animadores e diretores), em parceria com a UFSC - Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina representada pela professora do curso de animação Mônica Stein.
4. Regulamento
Para se inscrever na seleção das Mostras do Festival, deverá se atender às seguintes exigências:
4.a. Todas as obras devem ser finalizadas em formato digital e terem duração máxima de 20 (vinte) minutos, para curta-metragens, e mínimo 70 (setenta) minutos, para longa-metragens;
4.b. Poderão concorrer nas mostras competitivas produções que foram finalizadas a partir de janeiro de 2022, não podendo ser inscritas aquelas obras que tenham participado de processos seletivos anteriores do Festival Internacional AnimaVerso em qualquer categoria, tenham sido selecionadas ou não;
4.c. As obras deverão possuir créditos completos na sua abertura ou fechamento, incluindo também dados da trilha sonora original ou de cedência para uso;
4.d. Serão aceitos somente filmes que contém pelo menos 70% (setenta por cento) de animação (em qualquer técnica, exceto IA).
4.e. Serão aceitas obras criadas de formas artesanais com técnicas de animações tradicionais ou digitais, podendo ser 2D, 3D, híbridas, stop-motion, dentre outras a serem avaliadas pela curadoria.
4.f. Não serão aceitas nas mostras competitivas obras com participação dos integrantes da organização do festival, membros da curadoria ou juris.
4.g. As/os realizadoras/es cujos filmes venham a ser selecionados para o AnimaVerso autorizam a utilização de trechos e stills do filme selecionado para produção de peças publicitárias em imagem e/ou vídeo para divulgação do Festival, bem como a veiculação dessas peças publicitárias na TV, mídias impressas e/ou Internet;
4.h. As/os realizadoras/es, cujos filmes venham a ser selecionados para o AnimaVerso, autorizam que os filmes integrem o acervo do Festival, podendo ser selecionados por meio de curadoria para mostras de divulgação do Festival em todo o território brasileiro, mediante comunicação prévia e autorização das/os realizadoras/es.
5. Inscrição Online
5.a. As inscrições para o 3° Festival Internacional AnimaVerso estão abertas do dia 25 de agosto até o dia 23 de novembro, às 00hs (BRT), na plataforma FilmFreeway;
5.b. Cabe aos proponentes de produções internacionais com realizadores brasileiros escolher apenas uma categoria de participação, sendo nacional ou internacional.
5.c. Caso as condições para inscrição não sejam atendidas como prevê o regulamento, a produção será desclassificada. Não serão aceitas inscrições fora do prazo estipulado;
5.d. A/o proponente poderá inscrever mais de um filme em seu nome, mas deverá efetuar uma nova inscrição para cada trabalho enviado;
5.e. A língua oficial do Festival Internacional AnimaVerso é o português brasileiro. Para fins de legendagem por parte da nossa equipe, ao registrar filmes produzidos em outras línguas, o participante deve fornecer um arquivo de texto com time-code (.srt ou .txt) em inglês ou espanhol, contendo os diálogos, narração e músicas relevantes para a compreensão do trabalho.
5.f. Os filmes inscritos para a seleção devem assegurar que possuem os direitos de exibição de imagens e de execução de trilha sonora contida na obra, para fins de exibição em festivais e exibições públicas sem fins lucrativos, isentando a Organização do Festival Internacional AnimaVerso de pagamentos de direitos conexos em sua exibição.
6. Critérios de seleção e envio de cópias e material para exibição
6.a. Os critérios de escolha dos filmes, categorias de premiação e homenagens são de responsabilidade exclusiva da Curadoria do Festival Internacional AnimaVerso;
6.b. As cópias dos filmes selecionados deverão ser enviadas até o dia 01 de Fevereiro de 2026 em formato MP4 ou MOV em HD. O festival irá receber as cópias somente por via on-line;
6.c. Demais materiais promocionais, tais como posters e flyers para divulgação, deverão chegar à organização do Festival dentro da mesma data limite de 01 de Fevereiro de 2026;
6.d. Com a autorização do responsável, todas as informações presentes na ficha de inscrição dos filmes selecionados, assim como até 30 segundos de imagens do filme, poderão ser publicadas e exibidas através da página do Festival e suas redes sociais;
6.e. O email oficial do festival AnimaVerso para tirar dúvidas e enviar os materiais correspondentes é animaversofest@gmail.com.
7. Júri e Premiação
7.a. A Comissão Organizadora do Festival indicará os nomes para compor o Júri Oficial, que será composto por profissionais da arte, do cinema e do audiovisual, responsáveis pela análise técnica, estética e temática das animações que comporão a Mostra Competitiva, dando a eles poder de decisão supremo e autônomo.
7.b. São critérios para a premiação: a originalidade, estética, o uso da linguagem cinematográfica e o pioneirismo na abordagem das diversas linguagens de animação;
7.c. O prêmio da votação popular para Melhor Animação será dado aos curta-metragens, nacional e internacional, que receberem o maior número de votos pelo público presente nas sessões das Mostras Competitivas;
7.d. As categorias principais do Animaverso (melhor curta e melhor longa) receberão troféu nomeado à categoria vencedora. Ficará a cargo de cada responsável pela inscrição, caso não esteja presente no dia da premiação, arcar com os custos de envio do troféu pelos Correios, caso seja de interesse do responsável.
