The 16th edition of the European animated film festival for children and by children " AniFestA'GJIRO " final night on November 23-26, 2025 in Gjirokastra, Albania,

The list of films selected for the final will be published on September 10, 2025
1. THE GENERAL CONDITIONS
The films will be registered as part of the competition only if they are compatible with all the criteria and requirements provided in the statute of the Festival, which includes the regulation and the application form.
2. THE GENERAL CRITERIA
_ THE GENERAL CRITERIA
_ Films that violate human rights, especially children’s rights as defined by the Convention of Human Rights and the Convention of Children’s Rights, will not be accepted.
_ The competing film must be in the format to be shown in cinemas 1920X1080 (MP4 full HD).
_ The films that will compete in the 16th edition International Film Festival for Children and Teenagers must have been produced after January 1, 2024..
_ The films can compete only in the categories specified in the regulation.
2/1. SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR PROFESSIONAL APPLICANTS.
_ The short film should not be longer than 10 minutes
_ The copy of the film selected for the competition must be sent online, via wetransfer.com (address: info@-anifest.al)
_All the materials that will be sent for selection, will not be returned to the applicant but will be part of the Festival’s Archive.
_ The list of films selected for the final will be published on September 10, 2025, http://anifestrozafa.al/

3. THE PROGRAM AND CRITERIA
a Short film for children. Ages 3 to 10 years old
Short film for teenagers. Age 10 to 12 years old
c - Animated Short Film by Students
In the special session, there will be a presentation of films from partner festivals.
4. APPLICATION FORM
_ The applicant must send the following materials attached to the application request:
a) Applicants will fill in the application form in English.
b) A photo of the Film’s Director (a minimum of 300 dpi in jpg format.) – online
c) Photos of the film, at least three copies (a minimum of 300 dpi of JPG format) - online
d) A short synopsis of the film, up to 500 characters in English - on-line
e) English dialogue list (SRT) - on-line
The selected films will be used according to the law, for cultural and educational purposes, but not for commercial purposes. The showing of films for children will be free.

6. INTERNATIONAL JURY
The 16th edition of the European animated film festival for children "AniFestA'GJIRO", accurately realized the objectives that were served and monitored by the representatives of ECFA,( the European Association of Children's Films). The assessment was very positive.
The International Jury of the AniFest 2025 festival is proposed by ECFA, the European Children's Film Association is a member of this association.
The evaluation of the artistic values will be done by an international jury and by a special jury consisting of 23 children aged 8-12 years.
In the Selection of the film that will be announced as the winner"ECFA Award" to go as a competitor, at the BERLIN festival in February 2024.
7. ACCOMMODATION
The festival will cover hotel accommodation for the final night
Organizers of the festival "AniFest2025" don’t cover financially :
- All travel spending.
8 . PROMOTION
After a film has been an official selection, the filmmaker will be notified, and eventually, the film will be listed on the festival website under Official Selections. It means that your film has been appreciated by our judges on the panel and you can use the festival logo on your poster.
The film that will be announced as the winner of the "ECFA Award" will be released as a competitor at the BERLIN festival in February 2026. (Activity organized by the ECFA.ORG Association)
3. From the moment of submitting the request for participation in the AniFest “A'GJIRO2025” Festival, the participant must accept the regulations of the European Festival Competition. You are responsible for periodically checking for updates on these Rules and terms.
9. . CLOSURE DISPOSITIONS
1. The organizers can make individual exceptions to the conditions specified in this regulation, but not favor and provide advantages to every candidate for no reason. Organizers have the right to make changes to the competition rules or to points 7 - 8 of the regulation, but they must notify via the website: www.anifestrozafa.al
2. These are subject to the laws of the Republic of Albania and all competitions related to them will be selected by the courts following Albanian Law.
3. From the moment of submitting the request for participation in the AniFest “A’GJIRO2025” Festival, the participant must accept the regulations of the European Festival Competition. It is your responsibility to periodically check for updates on these Rules and terms.
( The Events and Editions of the Festival have been designed organized, and carried out by the non-profit organization, "AniFest", recognized by court decision No. 2781; dated. 23. 02. 2010; Tax ID Number (NIPT) L06518191V, with its headquarters in Shkodra and Tirana.
The project is equipped with the Certificate of Registration of Authors’ Rights (Copyright) No. 99, RDA, dated 19. 06. 2013, on the category of works of art, “Projects”, Article 7; Letter b.
It also has the Certificate of Registration of the Activity. Certificate of Registration of the Object of Activity No. 202, RDA, dated 03. 06. 2013.
