Welcome onboard TAP Air Portugal’s Altitude Film Fest, the first film festival fully viewed and voted aboard an aircraft!
In 2026, Altitude Film Fest returns for its 3rd edition and once again aims to celebrate the best of short cinema while promoting Portugal and its cultural heritage.
We are looking for fiction and documentary short films at least partially shot in Portuguese territory and/or focusing on Portuguese culture.
Come be a part of Altitude Film Fest and don’t miss the opportunity to see your short film fly high. Submit your work by April 30!

NOTE: If you are a Cinema student enrolled at a school in Portugal, please email us at inflightproduct.ifec@tap.pt. A dedicated student category is available, and we will provide you with further information on how to participate.

The films honoured with the Grand Prix for Best Fiction Film and Best Documentary will be rewarded with a travel grant worth 1,500 euros each.

Registration is subject to a submission fee of 10 (ten) USD which must be paid through the FilmFreeWay platform.

All movies entered into the competition must also meet the following eligibility criteria:
(i) have been completed between 1 March 2025 and 30 April 2026;
(ii) have a maximum running time (including end credits) not exceeding thirty (30) minutes;
(iii) be partially filmed in Portuguese territory and/or have a focus on Portuguese culture; TAP may request proof of filming location;
(iv) pilots/series episodes, excerpts from feature films, music videos or commercial/institutional films will not be accepted;
(v) films must be original works.
