Bahman Radan is a storyteller who draws his characters from real life. Having lost his mother in childhood and worked to support his family, he built his own path at the age of eighteen. The same resilience that carried him from being a laborer to founding his first company now runs through his films—stories about characters who stand against hardship and struggle to rebuild their worlds.
His life has been a constant search for meaning and “well-being.” This inner journey began with a single line about animal rights, which reshaped his worldview and led him to adopt a vegan lifestyle. That search carried him and his family from Iran to Georgia and finally to Turkey—not in pursuit of opportunity, but in search of a place aligned with their spirit. His films mirror this journey: meditations on finding meaning in the quiet details of life.
Radan’s cinema is built on family and love. After his mother’s passing, he became a pillar for his younger siblings; later, he married his creative partner, Sara Moradi, to build a family of his own. His filmmaking was born out of a family pact shared with Sara, his wife and co-writer, and his sister, Zahra Radan, editor and head of post-production. Their works are the product of this bond and shared belief in the power of support and art. His silent and conceptual films echo these lived experiences—stories of struggle, awakening, and the moments that change a life forever.
