Bahman Radan (born February 2, 1988, Bijar, Iran) is an Iranian filmmaker based in Turkey. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Qazvin University but later turned to cinema, bringing a visual and conceptual approach to storytelling. Since 2019, he has worked professionally as a director, writer, and producer, focusing on character-driven and visually striking narratives.
Radan is the founder and CEO of AD1 Film Production, an independent company producing international projects. His films often explore themes of human rights, environmental concerns, social justice, and the psychological struggles of individuals. His works have been screened and awarded at international festivals. Victim is his latest short film, produced in 2023 in Turkey.
“Victim” was born from a personal question: why must innocence suffer in the name of tradition? In many cultures, rituals of sacrifice are passed down unquestioned. I wanted to capture the moment when a child, still untouched by dogma, dares to resist and protect what he loves. Through silence, simple images, and the courage of a boy, this film challenges us to reconsider the cost of obedience and the meaning of compassion.
