The "Accussì" Association is organizing the 3rd Edition of "Accussì – Festival for the Eyes" for the year 2026.

"Accussì" stems from the broader idea of creating (in the future) a true "festival for the eyes," dedicated to the beauty of local territories, such as villages and hamlets that often experience dynamics of abandonment. Instead, in this project, they become a stage for various types of performing arts, primarily a short film festival. The goal is to make the territory of Giampilieri, sadly known in the news for the Messina flood of 2009, a place to welcome and showcase the beauty of cinema, while not abandoning themes and contexts inherent to a more "local" dimension.

The greatest ambition associated with this short film festival is for it to represent the beginning of a territorial enhancement journey where the central theme will always be the cultural revitalization of the Village: a short film festival "to start with," a "Festival for the Eyes" in all respects in the coming years, an event where cinema, theater, visual arts, murals, sculptures, and outdoor performances will meet and intertwine to enhance the entire context, contributing to its regeneration.

L’Associazione “Accussì”, organizza per l’anno 2026 la III° Edizione di “Accussì – Festival per Gli Occhi”.
“Accussì” nasce dall’idea più ampia di realizzare (in futuro) un vero e proprio Festival “per gli occhi”, dedicato alla bellezza dei territori “locali”, di spazi come paesi e borghi che spesso vivono dinamiche di abbandono, e che invece in questo progetto diventano teatro di arti performative di varia natura, e in primis di una rassegna di cortometraggi. L’obiettivo è quello di rendere il territorio di Giampilieri, tristemente noto alla cronaca per l’alluvione di Messina del 2009, un luogo nel quale accogliere e raccontare la bellezza del cinema, senza abbandonare temi e contesti propri di una dimensione più “local”.
L’ambizione più grande connessa a questa rassegna di cortometraggi è che essa rappresenti l’inizio di un percorso di valorizzazione territoriale dove il tema centrale sarà sempre la riqualificazione culturale del Villaggio: una rassegna di cortometraggi “per cominciare”, un “Festival Per Gli Occhi” a tutti gli effetti nei prossimi anni, un evento dove cinema, teatro, arti visive, murales, sculture e performance outdoor si incontreranno e si intrecceranno per valorizzare l’intero contesto contribuendo alla sua rigenerazione.

Participation in the Festival, for the third year, is open to videomakers, authors, screenwriters, creatives, etc. and is free of charge.
The Festival is open to all Italian and foreign authors, both individually and in associations.
The Festival is open to any kind of short film and includes 3 categories in which short films can compete:
1. Category “Du Paisi” – Category dedicated to short films set in “local” dimensions and “non-metropolitan” realities (villages, small towns, …), belonging to any genre and type of production. Maximum duration: 20 minutes.
2. Category “Comedy” – Category dedicated to short films with a comic/ironic/satirical edge, Italian and international. Maximum duration: 25 minutes.
3. Category “Animation” – Category dedicated to animated shorts. Maximum duration: 25 minutes.

At the discretion of the Organization, the names of the three categories may be subject to change.

La partecipazione al Festival, per il terzo anno, è aperta a videomaker, autori, sceneggiatori, creativi, ecc… ed è a titolo gratuito.
Il Festival è aperto a tutti gli autori italiani e stranieri, sia a livello individuale che associativo.
Il Festival è aperto a qualsiasi genere di cortometraggio e prevede 3 categorie all’interno delle quali i cortometraggi potranno concorrere:
1. Categoria “Du Paisi” – Categoria dedicata a cortometraggi ambientati all’interno di dimensioni “locali” e realtà “non-metropolitane” (borghi, piccoli paesi, …), appartenenti a qualsiasi genere e tipologia di produzione. Durata massima: 20 minuti.
2. Categoria “Comedy” – Categoria dedicata a cortometraggi dal taglio comico/ironico/satirico, italiani e internazionali. Durata massima: 25 minuti.
3. Categoria “Animazione” – Categoria dedicata ai corti di animazione. Durata massima: 25 minuti.

A discrezione dell'Organizzazione, i nomi delle tre categorie potrebbero subire delle variazioni.

Participation in the Festival, for the third year, is open to videomakers, authors, screenwriters, creatives, etc… and is free of charge.

The Festival is open to all Italian and foreign authors, both individually and as members. All non-Italian short films must have Italian subtitles. During this pre-selection phase, short films with English subtitles (and only English!) may be submitted, but if a short film is selected, the participant must provide/send Italian subtitles.
Another requirement for selection is the duration, which must not exceed 25 minutes (20 minutes for the "Du Paisi" category).
The organization reserves the right to update the entry regarding the sections and awards of this Call.
To participate, each director or other person who holds the rights to the short must send the following electronically or via upload to dedicated platforms by the registration deadline:
• 1 Multimedia File (any format as long as it does not exceed 2 Giga) of the short by uploading it to the platform.
• 1 Synopsis/Presentation of a maximum of five lines, to be sent by email to associazioneaccussi@gmail.com in the case of sending with Wetransfer. In the case of sending via upload to dedicated platforms, it will be sufficient to fill out the form on the same.
• 1 Registration form and release (available on the Facebook page "Associazione Accussì" or on the website www.accussifestival.wordpress.com), filled out in all its parts and to be sent by email together with the synopsis to associazioneaccussi@gmail.com)
• 1 Short biography of the author (optional)

La partecipazione al Festival, per il terzo anno, è aperta a videomaker, autori, sceneggiatori, creativi, ecc… ed è a titolo gratuito.

Il Festival è aperto a tutti gli autori italiani e stranieri, sia a livello individuale che associativo. Tutti i cortometraggi di nazionalità non italiana devono avere i sottotitoli in lingua italiana. Durante questa fase pre-selettiva possono essere inviati cortometraggi con sottotitoli in inglese (e solo in inglese!), ma qualora un cortometraggio venisse selezionato, il partecipante dovrà provvedere all'inserimento/invio dei sottotitoli in lingua italiana.
Ulteriore requisito per la selezione è la durata, che non dovrà superare i 25 minuti (20 minuti per la categoria "Du Paisi").
L'organizzazione si riserva la facoltà di aggiornare la voce riguardante le sezioni e le premiazioni del presente Bando.
Per partecipare, ogni regista o chi altro detiene i diritti del corto, dovrà inviare via telematica o tramite upload su piattaforme dedicate entro il termine di iscrizione quanto segue:
• 1 File Multimediale (qualsiasi formato purché non superiore ai 2 Giga) del corto uploadandolo sulla piattaforma.
• 1 Sinossi/Presentazione di massimo cinque righe, da inviare via mail a associazioneaccussi@gmail.com nel caso di invio con Wetransfer. Nel caso in cui venga inviato tramite upload sulle piattaforme dedicate, sarà sufficiente compilare il form sulla stessa.
• 1 Scheda d’iscrizione e liberatoria (disponibile sulla pagina Facebook “Associazione Accussì” o sul sito www.accussifestival.wordpress.com), compilate in ogni loro parte e da inviare via mail insieme alla sinossi a associazioneaccussi@gmail.com)
• 1 Breve biografia dell’autore (facoltativa)

    Purtroppo non abbiamo potuto essere presenti di persona, ma grazie allo staff e agli organizzatori ci siamo sentiti comunque parte del festival, merito di una comunicazione sempre attenta e puntuale. È stato un vero onore e un piacere partecipare ad Accussì!
