The Australian APAC Film Festival is here to provide a platform for emerging young student filmmakers to shine. In 2025, APAC eagerly awaits the outstanding productions from years 10, 11 and 12 Queensland students, offering them a chance to showcase their remarkable creations. Each student can submit a maximum of two entries.

For 2025 we are also including a new category - Best Generative AI film. All films will also be considered for Best Cinematography, Best Sound Design or Best Editing, People's Choice as well as their nominated category.

Teachers please note: if you are submitting on behalf of students, please ensure the FilmFreeway "director" information is the single student representative of the film. They will be the student who receives any prizes such as trophies, certificates, and/or scholarship prizes.
Judging Criteria:
-Storytelling and narrative structure
-Cinematic technique and editing
-Creativity and originality
-Audience engagement (for peoples choice)
