AN/OTHER Film Festival WA

It was a great festival - I didn't actually go as it was on the other side of the world, but all the communication was great.

The theme and intentions are excellent, don't get me wrong. It's also a huge win for the community to get represented and their stories to get a well-deserved spotlight.

However, the festival communication is VERY messy, they promised me to pay me a few months back for two screenings at the event and now two months later after talking to them about my situation they just ghosted me (They never answered on IG though) I just could talk to Sarah for the most part, she was very kind, but as she was not directly involved we just talked in circles until she stopped answering my emails.

They claim that they payed me, but I never got the money, as it was an international transaction it may got into problems, or they straight never payed me, either way, I think I will never find out because they now refuse to communicate with me and now I had to pay the crew myself as it was something I promised them, but that is highly unprofessional from them and unfair for me.

If you are interested in joining this event, just have in mind that if they promise you a payment you may never get it, that way you could still enjoy an otherwise great inclusive festival.
