1. Eligibility
AIFFT is open to filmmakers, artists, producers, students, creative studios, and digital storytellers worldwide.
2. Accepted Categories
Short Film
Feature Film
Experimental Film
Animation
Documentary
Music Video
Hybrid & New Media
Student Film
3. AI Requirement
Submitted works must either:
Use Artificial Intelligence as part of the creative or production process; and/or
Explore themes related to Artificial Intelligence, technology, digital culture, or human-machine interaction.
4. Submission Deadline
All submissions must be received no later than 29 June 2026.
5. Submission Materials
Each submission must include:
Screening copy or preview link
Film synopsis
Director's biography
Production stills and official poster
Technical information (running time, format, year of production, country of origin)
6. Recommended Format
Submission MP4 (H.264)
Festival backup/master ProRes 422 HQ (.mov)
Cinema screening DCP (2K or 4K)
6. Language Requirements
Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles.
7. Rights & Permissions
The submitter confirms that:
They hold all necessary rights and permissions for the submitted work.
All copyrighted materials used in the film have been properly licensed or cleared.
The festival bears no responsibility for copyright infringements.
8. Selection Process
All submissions will be reviewed by the AIFF Tirana selection committee. The committee's decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
9. Screening Rights
By submitting a film, participants grant AIFF Tirana the non-exclusive right to screen the selected work during the festival and to use excerpts, trailers, still images, and promotional materials for festival publicity and educational purposes.
10. Notification
Selected participants will be notified by email prior to the festival.
11. Fees
Submission to AIFF Tirana is free of charge.
12. Acceptance of Terms
Submission of a film constitutes full acceptance of these Rules & Terms.
