7 jours pour 1 film is a free itinerant operation for the discovery, training and promotion of women wishing to be active in the world of cinema, particularly in Africa. Carried out in partnership with film festivals, the ambition of this operation is to offer the laureates free multidisciplinary skills in the cinema professions by learning and creating quality works through a process that brings together both :
- A short film screenplay contest
- A cinema training workshop for the finalists
- A film project selected to be produced and broadcast during the host festival.
The main challenge for the winner from the finalists selected for each edition is, with their participation, being able to make their film in just 7 days.
This free itinerant operation supports the creation of quality works by women filmmakers: by exploring - with the laureates - the whole production process of a film (writing, preparation, production, distribution), by offering more visibility and legitimacy to women who want to be active in this sector in Africa.
