Sign up today to compete for the most epic film festival in southern Colorado, The 72-hour Kickass Film Fest! This festival is a truly immersive experience for all filmmakers fresh or seasoned! You can compete as a soloist or an unlimited number of teammates. We will set up multiple opportunities for you to network with Directors, Actors, Cinematographers, Editors, sound designers, and so many more collaborators of film.
The competition is a timed festival meaning you will have exactly 72 hours to write, film, and edit your film. On the starting day we will randomly select a genre for your film to be, and we will also assign you a line of dialogue that must be in your script, as well as a character and an object. This festival is sure to get your creative juices flowing!
Once you have submitted your film it will be scored by a panel of judges from the film and entertainment industry to be nominated for 11 Awards!

We will Premier the selected films in a state-of-the-art theatre amongst 300+ peers and spectators with a red carpet experience pre-party, and award ceremony! This night will make you feel like the true Hollywood star you are!
Filming Dates
Starting February 28 You will have 72 hours! At 9:30 am we will invite all filmmakers to draw genres virtually at random, we will then state your Character, Prop, and Line of dialogue for your short film the 72 hour time clock will start at exactly 10:00 am MST you have until exactly 10:00 am MST on March 3, 2024, to turn in your film and documentation, NO EXCEPTIONS!
