Welcome to the 60 Second Horror Film Festival!

We're looking for filmmakers from all over the world with a horror film with an exact run time of 60 seconds!

After the final deadline, we'll make 60 films Official Selections. Then, we'll divide these 60 films into six sub-horror genres (Comedy, Supernatural, Slasher, Science Fiction, Monster, and Psychological).

The audience will vote on their favorite in each sub category, resulting in a best of category award.

Then, the best in each category will be shown and voted on, and the film with the most votes, gets BEST IN SHOW!!

As a side bonus, all 60 Official Selections will be viewed by our celebrity judges, and they will pick their favorite 10 and send us a video of them reading their Top 10 Picks. These videos will be posted online for all to see as well. Past celebrity judges (Adrienne King, Miko Hughes, Betsy Baker, Katharine Isabelle, Edwin Neal, Katie Featherston)

ALSO: we've added a Best 60 Second Horror Screenplay category!

And most importantly of all, your entry fee will go towards helping an animal rescue!

Best 60 Second Horror Screenplay

Any horror film can be submitted, from anywhere, as long as they have an exact run time of 60 seconds.

This could include credits, but it's not recommended.

You can submit as many as you want!

If your film is officially selected, you are allowing us the ability to use segments of your submission for promotional material in helping advertise our film challenge. This does not guarantee all selected films will be used for advertisement but simply gives us permission to use short clips from your film if we so choose.

  • The 60 Second Horror Challenge is a fantastic festival! Due to this year’s circumstances it was especially great to be able to watch all of the festival’s entries - so many great shorts! It was also fantastic to have my film viewed by such a great group of horror luminaries. It was an honor to be involved and to also help with a very worthy cause!
